I have attached a photo containing my full review and timeline of events. This review is a summary of the experience that ultimately led me to seek revision surgery elsewhere.
I consulted with Dr. William Pittas for a breast augmentation and, despite requesting another consultation before surgery, never had the opportunity to have a detailed discussion with him about my goals before the procedure.
After surgery, I immediately noticed severe asymmetry and developed extensive bruising that spread across my chest, breast, and arm. I repeatedly contacted the office asking whether I needed to be seen. Instead of being evaluated in person, I was instructed to purchase a compression wrap from a pharmacy and manage the situation myself at home. During this time, I developed a seroma and was repeatedly reassured that everything was normal.
When I was finally seen approximately two weeks later, I felt dismissed rather than supported. After expressing concern about my appearance and complications, Dr. Pittas told me, “Your boobies look sexy, Kailey.”
I was shocked. I was not looking for reassurance about my attractiveness. I was a patient seeking answers about a complication and the appearance of my surgical result. I found that comment completely inappropriate and unprofessional.
My experience continued to deteriorate from there. One of my incisions became red, irritated, and began draining. During a follow-up appointment, Dr. Pittas repeatedly pushed on the open incision while I was in significant pain.
Complications can happen with any surgery. What I cannot overlook is how abandoned I felt when those complications occurred. I felt dismissed when I asked questions, ignored when I asked for help, and treated as though my concerns were insignificant.
More than two years later, I am still dealing with the consequences of this surgery and am now paying for revision surgery elsewhere.
I encourage anyone considering surgery to read the attached review and make an informed decision for themselves.
