WORTH IT$5,000
Day 4! I have mentor smooth saline 375 filled to 425. I asked for moderate plus but notice my card states just moderate (I will ask at my followup which it ended up being). I also had a scar revision done on my upper abdomen from a previous mole removal.
Each day is an improvement. I slept the best so far last night. I'm still on a reclining couch with my wonderful neck pillow. I am a side sleeper and was worried how I would do but the neck pillow helps me feel as if I am on my side. I do not tolerate strong pain medication so I have been alternating Tylenol and ibuprofen with 1 celebrex in the morning and 1 Diazepam in the evening before bed. I also take arnica and magnesia phos. homeopathic tablets and bromaline and qucertain with vitamin C. Arnica gel also applied 3 times a day.
Yesterday I showered and saw them for the first time I am so pleased! My husband had to wash and brush my hair as there is no way I could accomplish that. The most discomfort comes in the area by my arm pit from the compression strap. I do have random times where it feels hard to breath but I just undo the compression strap and relax and it passes. I tire easily and am very winded talking while my voice is much more quiet than I usually am. Also on the first day my eyes were sore and burning the nurse told me to have some moisturizing eye drops which helped.
As for my experience with the center for plastic surgery, it has been good. Right away I felt comfortable with Dr. Leppink. I booked surgery that day without checking into any other doctors. I love that he tries to keep you within your natural structure of breast tissue. They offer crisalix photos which I felt did not help me decide size at all if anything made me question everything. Also, as for trying on sizes I was only offered 1 sizer to try on 375. Which I felt was too small. I wished there would have been more options to try on. So I worried about the size choice for quiet some time. I sent several wish pictures over and they were printed and added to my chart. At my pre op appt I met with Dr. Leppink once more to confirm size he appreciated the pictures and assured me the look would be beautiful on me.
I'm just throwing the 5000 estimate price out there as my husband handled the paperwork so I am not sure of the final price.

My doctor said he is not using that band. And is not so bad without it. More relaxed. He feels like a torture that is not needed lol. Ask your doctor to sleep at night without it or at least loosen it up a little see if that help

Well today day 5 I am not feeling as good…

Well today day 5 I am not feeling as good as yesterday and woke in the night very stiff and sore. I believe that sitting hunched over is causing my middle back to cramp. I have used a heating pad and am forcing myself (with no pain) to keep a proper posture, while doing so the pain in my back eases up! My main adventure for today was having to take my boys to school and pick them up. So driving for the first time!! I couldn't close my door or put my seat belt on myself my oldest came to my rescue. Turning while only using your hands is heliraious to watch I'm sure! We did make it though there and back. Just 2 Tylenol and 1 celebrex this morning so far. The evening seems to be when the celebrex wares off and muscle tightness and discomfort sets in. Today was the last of the celebrex will have to see how tomorrow goes.

i had my BA on Friday, and am experiencing the same muscle cramps in my back. i think it's a combination of laying on my back in weird positions and also from hunching over. diazepam has really helped with the back pain, but it sure is annoying!

Yep I agree! I realized last night if I slowly put my shoulders back making myself have proper posture it was almost instantly released! I havnt had to take too many of the Diazepam but I'm about to now. I am not sure why but I will be feeling fine then suddenly my chest/pecks tighten up and it becomes so hard to breath with the pressure. If I release the band and bra it's almost instant relief. I just don't understand why it keeps randomly doing this?! So uncomfortable!!

You have to start moving and slowly stretching from the very start to keep you mobility. It was tough for me, too, but I was very glad I did it. My mom said that mastectomy patients "walk" their fingers slowly up a wall, so that's what I did.

Day 6! Each day is definitely something…

Day 6! Each day is definitely something different... yesterday was my first day without the celebrex so I felt a bit more. Earlier my pain was in the top and arm pit area. Then it moved to the sternum. Now yesterday and today I have been feeling discomfort under the breasts. So I pulled out the ice packs and put them under. The muscle spasms I kept having yesterday seemed to have passed for the most part which I am thankful as they would tighten my pecs so hard the band and bra made me feel like I couldn't breath if it was on! Driving is getting better but still ridiculously hard to turn. Forget opening bottles etc and cutting your or your 3 kids food! Yesterday I felt they seemed a bit smaller so swelling is going down! My bra is still leaving impressions so by means am I small; ) I feel very happy with the size and how I am progressing. I have my 1 week post op tomorrow! Looking forward to seeing what the dr has to say.

They look great! Putting the heating pad on the incisions feels really good, too. I slept with mine.

Thank you! I tried the heatingredients pad as I usually gravitate towards heat with injuries but the cool packs just feel so much better! :) moving today making breakfast felt much better today I'm doing more and more each day! Hope you are feeling well!
