I've been wanting a BA since I was in high school and have finally decided this year is the best time to get it done as my schedule is fairly open. I had cute boobs (34B), got pregnant, was measured at a 38C the week before delivery (I never got sized again after that), and breast fed for 7 months. I haven't been sized by an expert since having my daughter, but right now 32Bs seem to fit the best. I now describe my boobs as sad because they got the life sucked out of them, but I truly appreciate them for what they did for my child.

My right breast is slightly bigger than the left breast, but whether or not that is taken care of during the BA isn't a big deal to me. Ideally I'd like something that looks natural and proportionate with the rest of my body. I think a D cup would be great, but I know it depends on what the PS thinks my body can properly handle.

I have my first consultation this week with a local, well reviewed PS that has done some BAs for acquaintances so I'm curious and excited to see what he says and recommends. I'm not really nervous about anything at this point except for having somebody I don't really know look at my boobs so closely and be hands on with them. I suppose I need to get over that concern though!

It’s not so scary once you go in and talk to them. I went to four consults and they were all very nice, and professional. They also usually have a nurse in the room taking notes for them about your measurements. I hope you find the doctor that is right for you!

I have picked my PS, and scheduled my BA. He measured my chest and said I actually measure a 30B, but that since that's pretty much an impossible bra size to find, that I'd best fit in a 32A. That made me want to cry LOL. We discussed the look I'm going for, which is larger (obviously), but realistic for my frame, and he said I wouldn't want to go higher than a large C/maybe low D. I can't remember specifically, but I think we looked at doing 375 in the left, and 325 in the right since the right is slightly larger. He uses Mentor implants, and I had opted for silicone, so he recommended the moderate/moderate plus profile. He also only does BAs under the muscle, and through the breast crease, which is fine with me as that's what I was looking for. During surgery he plans to place a sizer of the moderate in one breast, and the moderate plus in the other and see which one works best for my body. I'm being a tad bit greedy and hoping for him to pick the plus, but once again, I respect his opinion and knowledge and know he'll make the right choice for my body.

Now & what the PS recommends

32A and then a sports bra with 375cc sizers in place. He thinks if I go any larger it won't look natural. I'm still up in the air about whether or not I want to go a tad bit bigger. I'll probably take his advice because having huge boobs was never a goal of mine.
