WORTH IT
I’ve wanted bigger boobs since I was a little girl. I have 3 sisters who all had big boobs early. I was an A cup until I gained freshman 15 in college and graduated to a 34b but I never filled the bra. After breastfeeding my boobs deflated I knew I wanted to get them done. I’d done what I thought was research for many years, just watching YouTube videos and saying to myself ok 450cc looks good on her so it would look good on me. Furthest from the truth. I started having consultations in October of last year. I was not prepared for all of the new information and choices I’d have to make. There were so many brands, sientra, mentor, allergan inspira, saline or silicone, so many profiles, low, mod, mod+, high, extra high, so many different types or cohesiveness, different placement, under or over the muscle, different incision sites, shaped versus round, so many different numbers and terms I was completely overwhelmed. I didn’t know I’d have to make so many decisions. I went to several consultations and each doctor told me different sizes. I was so afraid of picking the wrong size and being too big or too small and all the new vocabulary that I decided to take more time to research. I didn’t even know what I wanted at that point I just wanted bigger boobs. I wanted to know what I wanted so that my PS wouldn’t just give me anything, I didn’t want regrets I wanted exactly what i wanted. I encourage all women going through this process to take it slow. Don’t rush and end up not getting what you want. Do a lot of research but trust your surgeon. Be picky with your surgeon. Ask a lot of questions. Give yourself time to research. The revision rate for breast implants re so high because too many women are not researching and just allowing their surgeon to make the decision for them. If you go into your consultation with a good idea of the differences between what I named above then you’ll get to spend more time talking about your anatomy and size. Do your homework this is a big choice.
After 8 months of research I started visiting more doctors and choose Dr. Sacha Obaid in Southlake, TX. I felt he was very knowledgeable and I loved his social media presence. I read every single review and post he has on RS, I looked at every post on IG and watched every YouTube video. I also enjoyed watching his daily Snapchat videos. I was able to follow a few girls journey on a FB forum who also got their breast done with him, I sent them messages and asked them questions and they were very open to giving me feedback about their experiences. So I felt very comfortable with his abilities and knowledge.
BWD (breast width diameter) is something that I learned about during my research. During my previous consultations each doctor measured my body to determine anatomically what size I’d need to fill my chest. Every implant brand has a chart that shows the width and the projection in cm for each size implant. Dr. Obaid goes off of wish pictures instead of breast width but I felt good knowing this information since every bodies body is different. This explains why the 450cc implant would not be big enough for my goal but may be big enough for a woman with a much more narrow Brest width. If you are on this journey and need help not being afraid of numbers talk to your surgeon about your BWD and the diameter of your implant.
During my consultation I brought in wish pictures and were able to try on sizes based on the look I was going for. The sizers felt heavy but I’ve heard they aren’t actually heavy behind the muscle and under your skin. I kept trying on different sizers trying to avoid the number and just see what looks good. I want big boobs, not stripper boobs but full breast. I have a gap and I want it filled, I want a little side boob and upper pole. I didn’t want to run away from my desired look because I’m afraid of numbers. The 700cc sizers looked good on my body type, i took pictures in the sports bra with the sizers and in my regular clothes. I’m 5’5 150-155 curvy on the bottom so I wanted to compliment my curves. I also saw my body on the crisalix 3d image and it looked great. The day of the consultation Dr. Obaid called me personally at around 8pm when he got out of surgery to see if I had additional questions. I did and he answered every single one. He made me feel good about the size I picked and told me it would fit my body well.
2 weeks later I had my preop appointment where I discussed size again and was able to try sizers on again with a different nurse. I still loved the 700cc size. I spoke with Melissa, the coordinator, about the cohesiveness and after doing my research I knew the difference between responsive, soft touch and cohesive gummy bear implants. I choose the soft touch implants because I want upper pole fullness. Soft touch was a little bit of an up charge but I have seen many many girls with High profile or even extra high loose their upper pole fullness with the responsive implants. The responsive will fall into a teardrop natural shape even if it’s a round implant. The soft touch will hold its form better and is also less likely to ripple. I didn’t want the “cohesive” gummy because I still wanted my breasts to feel real to my husband. The cohesive would’ve made them too firm for my liking.
Dr Obaid picks the implant profile for you during surgery which I wasn’t so hot about at first because I felt I did enough research to know what I want and should be allowed to choose. However, I trust my surgeon. That’s why he is board certified and has such good feedback and reviews. I did let him know that I wanted either HP or UHP and between 700-750ccs since you loose some volume going under the muscle. I don’t care for the bottom heavy mod or mod+ profile because you loose so much upper pole fullness with those shapes.
Silicone 700-50cc HP SSF or SSX, under the muscle crease incision here I come 9 days away!
SN: my price was higher because I’m getting the soft touch cohesive gummy bear implants and because I am also getting lipo under both armpits. I grew fat (breast tissue) there at an early age. I am just as excited to have that removed as I am the breast aug!

Trying on sizers
I tried on sizers starting at 500cc. The first sports bra the nurse gave me was too big and made the sizers look saggy. She gave me a smaller bra and it helped but she said they were still hanging a bit and would sit high once inside the body. She kinda held up the straps to give me an idea and that helped. I definitely don’t want big saggy boobs.

Research! Research!
Here’s a few things that helped me choose the implant type and brand I choose. What works for me may not work for others. Research other brands and types and make a decision based on what you’ve learned.

so excited for you recovery to be complete. Thinking of going SRX, extra profile 800cc. Yours is the closest I seen to my goal ;-)

No lol. I'm basing the 800cc choice on my current 616cc, mod plus profile unders. My body covers/eats up the cc's really well unfortunately. I have very little upper pole profile and no cleavage without bra so hoping for the same wish boobies are yours ;-)

It was so hard finding larger CCs. When is your surgery! The bigger size is going to look great on you especially the profile change.
