4.5 Weeks PO

Sorry, missed the update at exactly 4 weeks.
Things have been awesome. I started doing my lower body routine but with light weights as I don’t wanna strain or hurt anything. It’s been good and I definitely miss lifting. I have my follow up appt with my PS today and plan on asking him if I can start working out upper body (shoulders, traps, back) and arms (tris and bis). I don’t plan on working out chest anymore as that used to be part of my routine (a 4 day spilt).. don’t wanna potentially do any damage to these additions. When have you started working out upper body?
I’ve been using two scar treatment creams given by my PS as well as strips to help with recovery of my scars that I wear when I go to bed as they work best when they’re on for 8-12 hours.

3 Weeks PO

Wow! It’s already been 3 weeks since surgery and I feel like it’s been a breeze... something I don’t regret and wouldn’t hesitate doing again.

Not much change from 2-3 weeks other than I’m finally free of the surgical compression bra and can wear anything without underwire! Woohoo.

Breasts still feel firm but the tops and sides have gotten softer. Feel like the gap has lessened in between my breasts which is awesome. Yay to progress with D&F.

Noticed mondors cord on my left incision.. not painful but makes my ribs on that side feel like they’re bruised and I only notice the mondors cord when I’m lifting my breast up to see the incision.. from what I know, it’ll heal itself within the next few months so I’m not really concerned.

Other than that, it’s been awesome!

Have full range on motion which is nice but still feels uncomfortable doing certain things like pulling close the trunk door of my SUV or pushing movements that require any contraction of muscles but other than that, all has been good!
I had my follow up appointment a couple days ago and it went well. PS said I’m healing nicely and said there’s no need for massages.. that I should continue to wear the surgical compression bra for another week and then I can switch to sports bras or bras with no underwire. He also gave me three products to help with scarring which I find SO generous as I’ve heard other people having to buy products from their PS.
I pulled my steri-strips off today and the incisions look so good! Super thin and right in the crease. Gotta say, my PS did an amazing job! Very happy I went with him.
Will update next week :)
