Went to Dr Yang (Brisbane) following recommendations from a friend. Have been to 2 consultations, and am ready to go this week. Very happy with the time Dr Yang has taken to explain the procedure, as well as use of a Vectra 3D imaging machine to help choose my desired look. Selected 400cc high profile, textured, round implant, with dual plane placement. Will update with pictures post-op.

Straight after surgery my pain levels were quite high, but this could have been due to the extra swelling on my left breast. Day 1 post-op pain levels have gone considerably down, and the dressings were removed today. Very happy with the size and I can't wait to see them drop. Day 2 woke up in a reasonable amount of pain, but it has disappated since sitting upright. I've found that even lying down on an angle for too long causes additional swelling in my case. Pain levels have gone right down now.

Congratulations on your surgery! That's great you were able to look at images from the 3D Vectra imaging machine to get an idea of your goal look. I bet you'll be feeling a bit better with each day that passes. Do take it easy though even if you're feeling fine. Feel free to join the February 2017 breast augmentation surgery forum to see how others like yourself are recovering. Looking forward to your updates!

Day 4 Post-op

So it's been 4 days post-op and I'm feeling pretty good. Returned to working from home today (my job is typically sedentary in an office anyway). I found that I was mentally a little tired after a couple of hours, but following food and a break I was ready to work again (it's pretty typical to how I'd normally feel working anyway).

Pain levels have gone right down, except for morning boob (tightening of pectoral muscles over implants) which I understand is fairly normal for the first 6 weeks post-op. I can pretty much shower myself, but needed a little hand from my boyfriend.

Had a post-op check up today as well, surgeon is happy with the results and notes that the swelling on my left breast is due to it bleeding a little more than the other side. There's a nice deep purple bruise near the incision line, but that will clear up.

Other than that, I drove an automatic car today. I was a little nervous, but I was alert and not drowsy at all. Managed well, shoulder turns (which you can you blind spot mirrors for anyway) and 3-point turns probably the hardest, but I'm only 4 days post-op, so to be expected.
