Week 3

My left breast is still riding higher than right breast. :( But on the brighter slide, swelling subsided. My cleavage is moving closer and the tenderness from my side boob is going away. Since the overall pain is gone, the only pain/discomfort I? really notice are from my nipples. They’re super sensitive so whenever I? put on my bra, I? cringe. Not complaining though... I? have boobies now, hehe. Even though I’m cleared to wear whatever bra, I’m sticking to bralettes only. I? still fit my size small bralettes!! My chest looks so good in them! Thank goodness they’re stretchy material because some of my bralettes are expensive! So far, all the clothes I’ve been wearing thus far fit fine. I? think I’m going to wait a few more weeks to get measured. I’m driving normal now also. Only problem is closing my door when I’m in my car. You never realize how often you use your pectoral muscles.. lifting something as small as a shampoo bottle made me jump from my pecs suddenly flexing, or even pushing my seatbelt release button! I? took a bath midway in week 3 and used my arm to lift my body out my tub (I? was careless and didn’t think much) and shouted in shock because my pecs flexed so much LOL. Be careful guys!! At this stage, walking and going about my day is fine. My implants are starting to feel less foreign. I? still wear my bandeau strap my surgeon gave me but only at night. The only time my chest feels heavy is when I? wake up. Anybody experience this? When does it go away for you guys?

Week 1-2

So these past few weeks have been hectic for me. Caught strep throat and there was a death in my family, so I? couldn’t write an update. I? got my bandages taken off the day after my surgery and my boobs were soooo ugly. Totally what I? expected... man pecs! Bruising wasn’t bad but got darker (deep purple) within a week. My surgeon said my operation was super easy. My pec muscles lifted without a problem and my implants propped in smoothly. Week one was pretty bad for me. I? heard lots of stories how day 1-2 are the worst recovery days, but day 3 had got to be to most painful!! Overall, mornings were bad for me. Day 1-2 post op, I? took two Percocet in the morning and at night (total of 4). Day 3-5, I? took one pill in the morning and at night. Then day 6, I? took half a pill in the morning and at night. From there on, I? started taking Advil. Mornings were bad because that’s when my body was the most tense/stressed, and I? took meds at night because I? wanted comfortable sleep. Day 3 was probably the worst for me because I? went back to work that day and I? was finally behind the wheel. Don’t worry! I? took my Percocet the moment I? got to work. I? work a desk job, but sitting upright put a lot of strain on me so my biggest advice to anyone who goes to work immediately is to bring a pillow to support your back/butt. The first week at work after my surgery sucked. When I? get home, I would rest on my bed because laying comfortable at an angle took off most of the tension from my body. Also, the shooting nerve pain throughout my arm was UNBEARABLE!! Thank goodness my right arm/breast had no problems, but my left arm/breast.... it was this constant shooting pain that travelled to my fingers. Thankfully it was bearable after day 3 and went away after day 6, but this was probably the one thing I? hated the most about recovery.

Week 2 was better. Recovery gets better with each day. I? saw my surgeon again at my 10 day post op. I? had some stitches removed, he showed me what massages to do, and he cleared me for wearing whatever bra I? wanted. I? had most of my arm mobility at this point. I? was also cleared for light workout. My right breast is dropping faster than my left. My left seems to be riding high... can’t wait until they fully drop and fluff!! I? also went clubbing at my 14th day post op and it was nice not having to wear a sticky strapless bra. I? wore a tight Bardot top with only pasties under. Didn’t really drink and dancing was fine. I? also started sleeping on my back towards the end of week 2. I? actually had no trouble sleeping upright at an angle! It was my preference for the first two weeks because my chest felt less tension in that position. It takes awhile to find my groove when I? fall asleep, but no complaints overall. I’m a side sleeper though so I? can’t wait until I? can sleep in that position without any discomfort!!!

So with tons of research, I found this website useful to mentally prep with what's to come!! My breast are a full B (though I have a few 32C bras) and I have a good amount of breast tissue, but I want more. I went to my PS for a consultation and originally opted for a full C. He suggested I get 360-380cc implants until I showed him photos of what I wanted, and it turns out that I should go for a full D from what I've been showing him lol. So we settled with 485cc, which I was happy because I was surprised I was able to fit it in my petite stature. One of my best friends sorta gave me crap about going so big (she's into natural looks) and told me I shouldn't go over 300cc because a D cup is too big. Suddenly, I got discouraged for a week... but it's my body so I shouldn't care for her opinion. Yesterday was my surgery day and my PS said he brought a bunch of sizes to see which suited me the best and I ended with 520cc!! I was so shocked.
Surgery day: 10/27/2017 at 7:30am
Implants: Naturelle Inspira Silicone High Profile
Size: 520cc
Placement: Sub-Muscular
Incision: Transauxiliary
Medication: Cephalexin, Percocet, SinEcch.
Pain post-op: 7/10. I took 2 Percocets immediately in recovery.
The ride home was pretty bearable but wide turns had me cringing!! I got home and took my antibiotic and SinEcch pills as directed. I have pretty good arm mobility despite my incisions but I'm keeping my movements at a minimum just in case. The pain overall is quite moderate actually. It only hurts if I'm standing or walking, and there's no discomfort or pain for me whenever I'm laying down. I didn't need to take any pain pills to sleep the night of my surgery so I guess I got lucky with my recovery. I don't need help getting up, walking, or even peeing. I'm so surprised because all my girlfriends recovery stories sounded like nightmares haha. My post-op appointment is in an hour so I finally get to remove my ace bandage and have a sneak peak of my new boobs, heh. Will post more later!
