WORTH IT
I was waiting for a few months post my breast augmentation surgery to make sure my review is genuine and thorough. Please gear up as this is going to be a long one..

Let me start by saying, I’ve been wanting to get a breast augmentation since I was 17. I’m currently 27 years old – I weigh 48 kgs and I’m 159 cm. Prior to my surgery, I was a 32B but not a full B cup – most of the volume was in the bottom of my breast with an empty upper half. Now, post-surgery, I’m a 32C with a whole lot of confidence.

I visited 7 doctors over the past 3 years across the Middle East and never felt comfortable enough to take this step, until I met Dr. Allen. Mind you, I wasn’t that self-conscious about my breasts because I ALWAYS wore either chicken cutlets OR double push-up bras, but when I’d get intimate, I’d realise how much less confident I’d be. I wanted that little push of volume and shape in my breasts to carve out my overall feminine figure, and of course, to ditch the chicken cutlets and push up bras..

So my ask was the following: I wanted a full C cup/ not too big because I’m short and skinny so my breasts will look out of place if they were too large; not too small at the same time because that defeats the purpose/ be able them to dress them up and down as I please/ subtle soft cleavage with v-necks/ go braless in backless dresses and still have that feminine subtle volume/ not too much projection because I felt this gives off a fake look/ most importantly, I wanted them NATURAL. My biggest fear was to have two balls with harsh contours stuck on my chest.

When I met Dr. Allen the first time, I literally had a notebook with a checklist of all my questions (I’m a perfectionist so you can guess how annoying I was..) and he answered every single one of them so patiently and in detail. We did the first fitting for almost 40 mins, and we originally picked 225cc round smooth moderate+ mentor, submuscular, inframammary incision. I was very happy with the size even though it’s a relatively small implant. Anything that’s 250cc and below is considered a mini-boob job.

Me being me, I literally visited the absolutely amazing team at Dr. Allen’s over 4/5 times (lost count) to make sure I was happy with the size, and they were welcoming and helpful every single time. I then thought I should go bigger and do 250cc moderate+ round smooth mentor. I kept going back and forth between 225cc and 250cc until I landed on 240cc Xtra Gel Mentor Moderate+. My rule of thumb was being a tad smaller than desired is always much more preferable than being too big and getting suck with the situation. A day before my surgery I was not feeling at ease with the 240cc because I was afraid it would be too big and I had not tried a sizer for the 240cc as it was only available in London and they couldn’t get it to Dubai in time. Dr. Allen gave me a call and literally told me “Don’t do the surgery If you are not 100% sure of the size. The last thing I want is for you to wake up in the morning and think to yourself, my breasts are too big I don’t like them. We can do the surgery whenever you feel comfortable with the size”. This was 24 hours before my surgery so that alone proves that this man works for his patient’s best interest and is not after the money. I rescheduled the surgery to the following month and decided to go with my original plan - 225cc round smooth moderate+ mentor, submuscular, inframammary incision.

Today, I’m three months post op and I absolutely love them. They look super natural even though they still need up to a year to fully settle. They’re still a bit hard which is very normal, the process takes time. I’m able to go braless when I need to, and dress them up and down how I like. They look exactly how they used to in a double push-up bra, which was exactly my request, and they’re a full 32 C, which is also what I requested. They’re not high at all and the projection is beautiful. I know this is not the final result and it needs time to fully settle. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Allen and his team were very thoughtful, helpful, patient, responsive, and most importantly caring. They made sure pre, during and post-surgery to be thorough and fully transparent. They called me every day for a week after my surgery to check in and Dr. Allen was on top of all my post-surgery check ups. Wish I can drop in some pics but unfortunately, I can’t due to personal privacy preferences, but just ask Dr. Allen for the 225cc woman from Dubai – he’ll show you pictures of the before and after/ or simply check his Instagram profile. Not many go for these conservative sizes!

A few lessons from my experience to help with yours:
1. Post-op boob greed is very real. I guess you can tell from my experience that I kept going back and forth and I was terrified of being too big, but trust me, if you’re confused about that additional 25cc, go for it. It’ll be a very small increase that won’t harm but it will add some more volume. I don’t regret my decision AT ALL, I love my results so much, but I would’ve probably went for 250cc instead although I know the change would’ve been quite minimal. But you kind of put your mind at ease because boob greed is an actual symptom.

2. Rest during your post op and listen to what the clinic and Dr tells you – everything from meds, sleeping position, etc. I had minimal pain throughout the process thankfully; only surgery day was a painful but they took such good care of me that I was on painkillers all night and woke up the next morning feeling much better. No pain after that!

3. Ask your doctor everything you want – I went in with before and after pictures that I liked/ a list of breast pictures that I DON’T want/ a list of pictures that I want my results to look like

4. Trust your gut feeling. You know better than anyone else what best suits your body. Go to the doctor’s and try the sizers as many times as you want until you feel like “boom – this is the size I’m comfortable with”

5. I preferred doing my surgery in winter because I wasn’t wearing any low-cut tops etc. and most of my clothing was thick and oversized for winter, so I would wear them over my compression bra and no one would know I did anything to my breasts. It just looked like I had my chicken cutlets in / double push bra on which is what everyone has been deceived by for 10+ years lol so they couldn’t really tell the difference.

6. Trust the healing process – this is a long process and your breasts will change shape every week as they settle. Don’t be startled when you see them on week 1 or 2 (although I didn’t mind mine at all – Dr. Allen did a terrific job to be frank) but give it time.

My personal advice is, if you’re searching for a doctor in the UAE for your breast augmentation, go for Dr. Allen. I was VERY skeptical about doing my breasts in the UAE because the cosmetics industry is gradually becoming better here but still not as advanced as I would be comfortable with. However, Dr. Allen is a wonder-maker and don’t forget, he comes with tons and tons of UK and international experience! Hope this helps!
