1 year 4 months post op

Just wanted to share an update to show how soft they’ve become. Took longer than expected to get to this point. You can also see they’ve settled more, and my scars are getting better. Happy to answer any questions :) my stats and implant stats are in the title of my review.
One year post op
Well, it’s been one year since my surgery! Overall, I’m happy with them and looking at my before photos shocks me. They feel like me, and i feel much more proportionate. I fit into clothes better and bathing suits/bras/dresses are much more fun with boobs! I landed at a C/D depending on manufacturer, which is exactly what I wanted. Here are a few other notes:
Look: 8/10
- they look very nice, but slightly uneven and not fully natural. My pre-op boobs were uneven too so I didn’t expect perfection, but I feel one of my boobs sits lower than the other. Sometimes I’m paranoid this will one day be a bottoming our issue even though I’m really good about wearing bras.
- my nipples are more centered post op, which was a goal of mine
- size is perfect, if they were bigger it would be obvious and get in the way of day to day activities
- scars still very visible. I got two complimentary rounds of laser scar therapy, and was very intensive with my scar cream until I ran out of the bottle, then I wasn’t so good... so this is probably partially on me, and I’m sure the scars will contjnue to improve.
Feel: 6/10
- I have Sientra silicone implants, I went for the softest I could, and they are still firmer than I want but everyone who has felt them tells me they feel great. They are soft, they’re just not AS soft as natural boobs. I also wish they jiggled a little more, I can jiggle them by hand easily, but if in activities they sometimes feel like they hardly move.
Maintenance: 5/10
- my doctor tells patients to “massage” each breast for 30 seconds daily for the rest of my life (!!). Adding into the daily routine isn’t a big deal but I didn’t realize it would be forever. This is to prevent scar tissue from forming, which does make me a little paranoid that I could develop abnormal scar tissue/capsular contracture later on.
- my doctor tells patients to wear bras all the time, even when sleeping. This is annoying - and the biggest thing I miss about having noobs (I was braless almost always).
Working out: 7/10
- working out is fine though I lost a lot of strength in my upper body.
- push ups and pull ups are weird feeling but fine. You can just feel your muscle tighten around the boobs and takes some getting used to.
- no noticeable change to cardio, just need a sports bra now!
Surgeon: 8.5/10
- I would definitely recommend Dr. Rodgers for your PS needs! She’s a pro and chose the perfect size for me despite my uncertainty. She took care of me and has been doing it forever, I felt I could trust her and she’s incredibly knowledgeable.
- Andrea and Kendall are really lovely, as are the front desk staff. They made me feel comfortable and I enjoyed my post op appointments.
- I wish the office would’ve offered patients more flexibility during COVId. I was out of state to be with family when COVId was at its worst and when I called to reschedule my surgery, I was told my entire deposit would be forfeited because I had called a few days past the 4 week deadline. To be clear, this was in the agreement I signed and this is in place because the hospital needs to coordinate anesthesia, OR, etc., but given circumstances I was disappointed they couldn’t work with me.
- I felt like my preop/consultation appointments were a little bit rushed. Especially time with Dr. Rodgers is very limited. You work primarily with staff.
Miscellaneous:
- I do get more male attention/looks. Nice sometimes, but not always...
- scooping ice cream is my least favorite feeling, even more than exercise! Something about the angle and force feels really weird and I don’t like it
- some clothes DONT fit me as well anymore. A couple shirts and dresses are too tight around the chest.
I’ll take a video update when I can. Happy to answer questions! :)

4 months post-op
Hi all! I’m a little later than I thought I’d be with an update but here it is! 4 months post op and they’ve settled in a little more since my last update, though I think they’ll continue to drop a little more (from profile they’re still a little raised in the upper pole). They are nice and squishy, I wish they were a bit softer as I can still kind of distinguish the implant from my breast tissue. My bf and close family members thinks they look and feel wonderful. My scars still look meh, but I’m continuing to apply creams and my surgeons office has offered one more (third) round of laser so I’m sure they’ll continue to improve.
I do occasionally still get minor pain, but I’m confident at one year post op thatll be gone. I don’t exercise often but I’ve done horse back riding, a bit of weights, and all has been zero pain. I will say things like scooping ice cream, of all things, feels uncomfortable and weird but not painful.
The only sad part that I didn’t 100% realize before surgery is I have to basically wear a bra all the time, per my surgeons recommendations. I make exceptions for special occasions but generally speaking, wearing a bra protects the investment so I wear one to sleep and basically all the time - the opposite of what I did pre-op which I do miss.
I love them and do not regret my decision. I think my result is pretty much the best I could’ve gotten, and I’m very thankful to my surgeon and her team for taking great care of me, I did my research and it paid off :) if I’m being super nit-picky, one of my breasts sits a little bit lower, and I wish my scars were tucked into the crease a wee bit more (they’re a little bit high), but these minor things doesn’t bother me much.
I’ll continue to update at 6 months and 1 year post op! Let me know if you’d like to see any particular angles or things not pictured here. Happy to answer questions too :)
