Yes I did the TT and face lift at the same time, I only wanted to go through the pain once. I know me, I'm a coward I probably wouldn't have gone back for the second surgery. It actually hasn't been that bad. I am now 3 weeks post surgery and back to work. I had my up and down days but in my mind I was picturing me lying in bed crying in pain and turns out it's nothing like that. Not even close. Just be sure to take your pain meds and stay ahead of the pain don't wait until you start hurting. I'm glad I did it all at once now. I am very happy with my results can't wait for the rest of the swelling to go down so I can see the finished product. ;)

Hi Blackcat, I wish I had found this website before I had my surgery I think it would have made me think harder about my decision. Now, I am a firm believer in the old saying you can't please everyone, with that being said when I did discover this website, about 3 weeks after my surgery and I began reading some of the reviews my first thought was (you can't please everyone) I say this because I had a very good experience... thus far. As for did I feel rushed? Looking back I realize now how quickly he seemed to get me in and out of the office. Not that he didn't answer all my questions but you sort of get the feeling he has one foot ready to hit the door running. Now the procedures. Facelift...I felt I was very lucky and that he did a really good job. I had very, very minimal bruising which I took to mean he took his time and was gentle. I am now nearly 3 months post op and I'm seeing things a bit differently. I love the results of the facelift as far as what I see in the mirror, that hasn't changed. However, the incisions behind my ears, the right side is very well healed and feels very natural. The left side not so much. It feels very tight, especially when I turn my head to the right and my ear is still very, very numb. It is difficult to sleep on that side. Tummy tuck...not quite as happy with the results. Again the right side of my incision looks very nice, it is flat and smooth, leaving a nice curvy appearance. But the left side is all bunched up and has a hump for the lack of a better word. When I put on a tight skirt say a pencil skirt it is noticeable because the right side is all nice and flat but there is a slight bulge on my left side. At first I thought perhaps my left side was just healing slower, that is not the case. As I have said I am nearly 3 months post op and I have had many surgeries in my life one being a full hysterectomy (same incision line as my tummy tuck only it was shorter across) I know what an incision should look like and how it should heal. I can only surmise that Dr. Smaili rushed on my left side so he could get to his next patient. I don't go back for my next appointment until 5/28 at which time I plan to ask him about the bulge on my left side and I am very curious to see what he has to say. Honestly I feel he needs to fix it better or give me some of my nearly 20k back. As for the tightness behind my left ear there really isn't anything that can be done to remedy that but I plan to bring it to his attention. I obviously don't expect that he will offer to correct the left side of my tummy tuck or refund me any of the money but that is my feelings as to how it should be handled. I would feel safe in saying Dr Samili won't mess you up but will you get as good of a tummy tuck as you might somewhere else? I don't know but I sort of wish I had did a little more looking into other Drs. Don't know if I would have changed my mind because I did talk to a couple of other Drs. and I didn't feel comfortable with either them or their staff for one reason or another and pretty much just the overall first office experience and that is what sold me on Dr. Smaili, everyone on his staff treated me very well and I felt very comfortable, as I have already said I had not found this website before my surgery and all the before and after photos looked good and what I did read on his website were mainly positive reviews. I hope this helps a little with your decision whether to go with Dr. Smaili or not. I do think my surgery could have and should have been better. Hi Alana I think your right about the rushing through the process or his assists who should be qualified to finish closure is not good sometimes the surgoens will close one side while the assist clothes the other. This is fine however the quality of work needs to be the same. You had two people closing your final tt ... The face lift will relax over time as skin gives way. As long as your lift is even on both sides... Thanks for the heads up and he should redue your Tummy tuck side. He is good but rushing too much or has a bad assist who's closure is not his quality of equal talent. I'm not sure still however his prices are very reasonable ! Follow up please ;)

Funny you should say that. Just last night I was looking in the mirror and thinking to myself that it looks and feels like two different people did my surgery. What you said about his assistant closing one side while he did the other explains a lot. I will let you know what happens at my up coming 3 month visit in June. Let you know what he says about the difference in my sides both on the tt and the fl.

Just FYI...my appointment is June 10th at 10:40. Any chance we might run into each other in the office? That would be fun. You could see his work on a recent patient...me :) Any way good luck and I will keep you posted.

Hi Cat, I had my 3 month post op yesterday. It went well. Dr. Smaili looked at the area that is still tender and has the hump as I call it. He did not seem concerned with it. He said it will continue to go down and let's give it a year and then we will see if something needs to be done on it. Not real sure how I feel about that but it is what it is. I will give it time as he has asked (what choice do I have) but if this doesn't correct itself I plan to tell him he needs to correct it. Good luck with your consult. I do like Dr. Smaili. My facelift looks great and I hope he is correct and my tt will slowly fix itself.

I might have to get my surgery done later due to family emergency just happened yesterday ... Will need to get my procedure done in scottsdale AZ if situation does not get better .. Thanks Catherine
