Office review: Very Rude

So I came to Miami thinking I was going to have surgery. I paid my balance in full, paid for a hotel, surgery supplies , paid to fly two of my friends out , paid deposit for driver and booked massages. I did my labs less than 30 days and was told I was clear to have surgery. Even before that I sent them my labs because they kept loosing them. I sent it to them 3 times before I came to Miami . They cleared me to come . I spent $500 on my labs in Cali . So I get there the day of my pre op which I told was at 11:00 , I got there at 10:30. Waited to go in for pre op , had to wait until 2:30 to go back there to fill out paper work and take pregnancy test . Then they told me again they were looking for a my labs . I came prepared; I then said “ I can forward my labs to your email “ the medical assistant said ok . So she received them and said I’m all ready for surgery tomorrow . I asked the medical assistant if Dr. Brewster was coming in so I can meet him and discuss my surgery concerns she said yes then at the end she said I will meet him tomorrow. I’m like the day of surgery I meet him wtf This is not how I planned my journey to go. I tried to stay positive so I didn’t panic . I just thought the whole point of preop is for the doctor to see your body and go over with him. But I guess it didn’t go that way . They said “don’t worry my love , u will meet the doctor tomorrow “ . She asked me what time I want to have surgery , I said early morning , she said ok, then later that day texted me saying surgery is at 2pm . The next day was surgery day they hit me up in the morning saying can I come in the next hour for surgery because Dr Brewster had some cancellations. I was excited and came right away. I came in got undressed did the urine test then they put me back in a room and said get undressed and put all your belongings in this bag . I let them know I needed my phone because I need to go over some wish pics with dr Brewster as well as I wrote some questions down to ask him which I had originally planned to discuss at preop . The anesthesiologist came in and was about to go over with me the stuff . I said “wait I still haven’t met the doctor . Then Dr . Brewster came in looked like he was in a rush . He starting fumbling through the paper work going in and out the room. Saying did I take some test . I said yes I took all my labs and u have copies I can also send to email . Then he finally pulled out my lab work , he looked at it as if it was his first time ever looking at it .He said you need to re take a test for the white blood cells count , and I will not be having surgery today and walked straight out , and told the nurse to handle me . The nurse told me I needed to go to the next floor to get a paper to go get lab work . So I got the paper and the lady told me to come right back after u take the test . I went to the lab place, and I asked how long would the test results get back . The lab place told me late that evening or get the results the next morning . I went back to LG then the person at the front desk told me to sit down . She got my results in 15 min. She said Brewster put a rush on it . She then said congratulations good luck on your surgery . So I got excited went back into the room undressed into a surgery gown . Then Dr Brewster come in and said “you back again “ then went in and out the room . He was very rude this time .I asked him how long will the surgey be he said 3 1/2 hours he sounded aggravated , his whole manner was unpleasant .Then he came back in the room and said “ you will not be having surgery today and was about to walk out , I said can u explain to my sister over the phone who is a nurse . He was still about to walk out until I said she’s on speaker phone .He rolled his eyes ,then explained to my sister that my white blood count was low and it needs to be looked at in further investigation. When it comes to my health I don’t argue with the doctor I then left out . I just don’t understand what was the point of taking labs before I came to Miami . If what he saw was such a big deal, that should’ve been a red flag and he should’ve saw it and contacted me before I came to Miami . Then I had to go to another floor, I believe it was the eighth .The lady at the front desk called me in the back of the office who is his assistant ( Anabel)saying she don’t know what’s wrong with Dr Brewster he canceled two people yesterday and two people today and my blood cell count is ok .. basically he didn’t want to do the surgery in so many words . She then said this other surgeon who works for the same company looked over my labs and said he can do my surgery . She also emphasized how the surgeon is board certified and Brewster wasn’t .I was a little bit nervous because I didn’t do any research on this doctor and I couldn’t make a fast decision . Not to mention when Brewster told me that , my health was in the back of my mind and I didn’t want to risk it . You can’t make fast decisions when it comes to your body .I declined and said no . I didn’t want to take the chance so she said they will refund me my money back after I send this email . After I left I sent my labs, to two surgeons that I know who is my sisters friend and mine . They both said there’s nothing wrong with my white blood cells, and they don’t know what he was talking about . They said it was low but not something to even be concerned about . Mind you this was a heart surgeon and a foot surgeon telling me this . I been working in an hospital for years so I take a physical yearly, I drink green juice, been taking vitamins , jog 4-6 miles a day. Also another thing I was told Dr. Brewster give u some pills the night before surgery , I didn’t receive those I just received my refund , after waiting 3 weeks and bugging 305 Plastic Surge on Instagram and writing underneath their post . What’s crazy, Brewster never had a chance to look at my body . But oh well, maybe that was God calling saying it wasn’t my time . I was really disappointed how rude Brewster was , simply because I was sweet as pie and he was such a jerk . I was told he was nice , but that wasn’t my experience.
