Yesterday I had a tummy tuck, liposuction of the abdomen, flanks, thighs and a Brazilian butt lift
Never been happier! TT LIPO BBL
I just had my 6 week appointment today and leaving there I felt so confident. I'm doing everything right and he's very happy with the results as for am I. He has amazing beside manner. I've had people ask me at work would you do it again. My response is YES! The recovery was brutal but so worth it. Check out my other reviews for before pictures, the process, tips and tricks.
BBL AND TUMMY TUCK ESSENTIALS
- [ ] Adult/puppy pads
I got myself puppy pads at my local dollar tree. I bought 4 packs and only ended using 2. You’ll need these the first day from heavy leaking of fluids
- [ ] Shower curtain
Dollar tree, ended using a thin one to protect my bbl chair and pillows for the first few days while your leaking fluids. I then put the puppy pads over the shower curtain.
- [ ] Arnicare gel
Amazon, so I heard of alot of others using this product. I use it daily and my brushing looks so much better. Does it work I think so but it’s like how do I really know. I bought two tubes myself and I’m on the second one already. I’ll continue using it because I think it is making a difference. Based off google it says nursing would be at its prime at 7-10 days and I felt like I was 2-3 days ahead of that with my darkest bruising on day 4 thru 7.
- [ ] Ace compression wrap
I personally got a 6in 10 back off Amazon. If you had thigh liposuction you’ll need this keep compression on that area. They seem to stretch out kinda fast so it’s nice to have extras.
- [ ] Compression socks
Amazon purchase again. Worked so good for circulation and kept my lower legs from swelling or bruising.
- [ ] Ice packs
I recommend 4 I use one under each thigh, one on my lower back, and the last on my tummy.
- [ ] Water
Of course water is essential to healing stay hydrated loves
- [ ] Liquid IV
Amazon purchase, gotta get them electrolytes in!
- [ ]Gauze
I would recommend getting 4x4s to be able to cover the drains and open liposuctions holes. You have gauze on when you leave but then you shower and nobody wants to put bloddy gauze back on.
- [ ] Paper tape
Gentle on the skin but for holding the gauze I’m place.
- [ ] Alcohol swabs
To be able to clean your drains and when you have to milk the tubbing to prevent blockages.
- [ ] Gloves
Get yourself some gloves to rub cream on and it’s nice when your emptying your drains.
- [ ] Protein shakes
Farm life 42mg protein shakes I highly recommend. Strawberry was my favorite! Best tasting protein shake I’ve had to date.
Had no appetite the first few days so this definitely helped so I wouldn’t get an upset stomach when taking my pain pills.
- [ ] Loose clothes
With drains in and just your lack of mobility I recommend wearing sweat pants and I just wore a zip up hoodie.
- [ ] Faja
I bought an extra one from Amazon they did have me in an abdominal binder when I came out. I didn’t wear a faja till after my drains were removed due to it being very irritating to the drains.
- [ ] Bbl chair -
I did a DIY BBL chair. I’m glad I did just to provide myself with more ways to find comfort. I’m sleeping and when your lounging. How k made my chair was with… extra large gravity chair, mattress foam that I cut to fit , zip ties to hold the foam in place. You will still need pillows behind your back and under your thighs because the foam isn’t soft enough.
- [ ] Scissors
For making the BBL chair and for other needs like cutting gauze or tape. Just good to have a pair.
- [ ] Avocado float
Amazon purchase under $20
Cheaper alternative to a bbl bed that’s cost over $100
- [ ] Air pump
Amazon purchase, to be able to blow up that avocado float!
- [ ] Pillows
5 at a minimum tbh I would have more they work great for prepping your body up so there’s no pressure on your butt. You also will need pillows in your DIY BBL chair because the mattress foam isn’t enough.
- [ ] Pregnancy pillow
This was the best purchase even before surgery. Curl this bad boy up so you booty is in the hole use other pillows to lift your body up so there’s no pressure on that precious booty.
- [ ] Wedge pillow
Amazon, I just purchased this and I have to say it’s amazing! Helped with positioning, sitting and sleeping.
- [ ] Bbl pillow and back support
Yesindeed is where I got the bbl pillow and the bbl back support. You will need this when driving later on and whenever you go on a car ride. I did use this getting out of surgery to the short distance to my hotel the first day. I don’t recommend buying the bundle of the pillow and back support I was able to buy them each separately for a cheaper price then the combo kit. Due to some of the colors being on sale so I ended up saving Money and got a cute pink back pillow with a purple bbl pillow.
- [ ] Bbl toilet pillow
Amazon, This is like a foam roller cut in half. So it’s firm. I place this on the actual toilet bowl when using the bathroom sitting. Because there is not enough of a hole if I have the toilet seat down.
- [ ] Stool softener
Definitely need this the pain pills will lock you up. I didn’t shit for the first 3 days and I’m an everyday kinda pooper lol
- [ ]Disinfectant wipes
I used these to wipe down the toilet bbl pillow after using the restroom every time.
- [ ] She wee if you don’t have a wiener
So this one’s for the bio girls. It felt nearly possible to sit on a toilet and still now 16 days post op and my thighs hurt so bad when I use a bbl toilet pillow to sit when pooping.
- [ ] Throat lozenge
My throat was so sore after surgery for the first 2-3 days from the tube they intubate. I didn’t have any throat lozenges the first day and I wish I woulda had them. Just saying I would pick up a pack.
- [ ] Aquaphor
Amazon, my lips were super dry. Partly from the pain pills they gave me such back cotton mouth. This is my go to lip care.
- [ ] Grabber
Amazon, this is one purchase I did not see anyone recommend. This was also the best purchase hands down. You won’t be able to bend over to grab things so these work great! You don’t realize how many rings you drop till you can’t actually pick them up. Part of me swears you drop more things now just because your unable to get them.
I really hope the helps someone.
If I think of more I’ll make sure to keep you in the loop!!

Today is 17days post op TT/BBL
The bruising today is looking amazing compared to how it looked the weekend prior. I have been using arnicare gel every time I have my boyfriend rewrap my legs. Not sure if it really works but In the pictures you’ll see how much better the bruising looks. I usually apply once a day before I have my legs wrapped from my knees to my upper thighs. I do have to say the compression wraps they provided didn’t do much I ended up buying more because of how bad the bruising and swelling was on my legs. I’ll add a pic of where I have just the one wrap and my knees look terrible.
I totally forgot to mention the first time I was taking a shower at home. I almost passed out. What I think caused it was removing my leg compression wraps and my compression socks too fast and didn’t let my blood pressure balance out before getting into a warm shower. **Be warned wait a few minutes before getting it.
I highly recommend wearing compression socks for circulation as you can see in the picture when I take them off from were they end no brushing has gone past them. I did wear them every day for the first week. This second week I had to take them off it’s been so hot in my area.
Last week I went back to get one of my drains removed. So happy one is gone and can’t wait to get this other one out this week. I asked them to remove the right one since it seemed to bother me the most and I have some redness on that side. I did have some swelling in my stomach more on the right side so I asked my doctors co doctor to look at it. Since my actual surgeon wasn’t present for this visit. He decided to stick a needle in my stomach to see if there was a build up of fluid but nothing came out. So now I wait and hope the swelling goes down.
