After years of looking into this procedure. I finally had my consultation in the beginning of May with Dr. Troung. Dr. Troung & Jessica(one of his helpful nurses) were great! They Both answered all of my questions and made me feel safe and well respected. Overall he was very knowledgeable. I walked out of the office feeling excited and confident to take the next step! I Will keep posting my journey as I go.

Today u went back to the office to get my lab work done! After getting blood drawn by another great friendly Nurse Makayla, Jessica came in the ensure I had any questions answered as I read and signed all of the forms prior to surgery. Both Nurses truly are sweet and kind.
I am from out of state so I will be traveling back (flying) to Chicago to get my BBL and plan to stay for at least 2 weeks before traveling back. I Will post as surgery date gets closer! Can’t wait!!

UPDATED FROM LittleMsJ

Quick update/ journal entry before surgery in 5 days!

In case anyone is curious, I am 5’1” and weigh 150lbs. (More chunkiness than muscle unfortunately)
Pre-op instructions/care: earlier this week I stopped taking any over the counter vitamins, supplements, etc and began to shower with only Dial Disinfectant soap.
BBL pillow: I still need to purchase a pillow but unsure of which one to get still. There are so many reviews out there..
I am also prepping my bag since I am traveling (flying) to Chicago. I will Be bringing loose comfy clothing so make it easy when undressing/dressing for surgery. I am bringing an extra Faja as well just to change out when the one provided is dirty.
Feelings: I’m more excited and just anxious to get this done rather than feeling nervous. I am trying to get an idea of the worst possible pain, but at the end of the day I’m prescribed pain medication and will be sure to take those exactly when directed to. Overall I know this will be worth it because of how BAD I’ve wanted this for years and years.. in other words the good will always outcome the bad.
You guys it’s finally a count down to feeling more comfortable and confident in my own skin! Will post again day of surgery and throughout the recovery journey :)

HI! Thanks for posting. How did your surgery go? Can you provide any updates yet? I'm scheduled for the same procedure in July with Dr. T and would appreciate any feedback you can give. I'm super nervous. Thank you kindly! :)

And don’t be nervous. This morning during my last shower I just had a moment of silence to mentally prepare my mind and body for the procedure. I hugged myself (sounds weird but just wanted to give myself a bit of self love) and thanked my mind and body for being strong and healthy to take this procedure on. Don’t be nervous and even if you are you will be fine I promise. just remember to breathe and be calm, it’ll be over before you know it.

UPDATED FROM LittleMsJ
Day of treatment

Today is the Day!

Morning of surgery: i took one last quick shower the morning of and was just mentally preparing myself. I arrived nice and a bit too early to my surgery appointment.. better to be safe than sorry. The surgery ahead of me was running a bit behind so I ended up waiting a couple hours before it began. It was a great time to nap though because I was exhausted! Any who, I’m extremely satisfied with Dr. T and his team of wonderful nurses. They’re truly the sweetest and amazing at what they do.
After signing final paperwork, Dr. T came in and took my photos while marking me up and finalizing the type of results i wanted. After that the anesthesiologist came in to put my IV and walked me to the OR room. After that, I laid down and next thing I know I woke up on my tummy. I was really cold when I woke up, but nothing extreme..totally tolerable.

Once I got home I laid down to on my stomach and was just happy there until I decided I couldn’t hold my hunger anymore. I ate soup and drank water with ice, took my meds and then went back to sleep (it was great).

I don’t feel like I’m in crazy pain at all. I honestly feel good. I’m sure tomorrow will be a bit more uncomfortable but aside from when I get out of bed (I feel nauseous and dizzy) I feel good! My stomach and butt just feel sore like i went hard at the gym. Totally tolerable and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t have a high pain tolerance. I will continue to post :)
