Terrible Patient Experience
I dreamt of having a BBL for years now. After doing tons of research, I was informed that Dr DelVecchio was the best for this procedure. He came recommended to me by a well know plastic surgeon and an existing patient. I booked my surgery without even meeting him and paid a $1000 deposit. I scheduled a consultation which took numerous times of reaching out to their number by text (forget about calling, they never answer the phone) and Shannon scheduled my consultation for 4/5 at 9:30am. After doing lots of research and writing down all my questions, I was so excited to finally meet Dr. Delvecchio. When I entered the suite on Central Park West the nurse seemed confused about why I was there and asked if I had surgery already and I said no, I was there to meet the Dr. They put me in a room for over 3 hours. After 1 1/2 hours of waiting the nurse explained he was in surgery and there was a mistake that Shannon had made with scheduling me. (The girl who answers the 2128580500) They told me he should be done soon and that he knew I was waiting. By this time it was 12pm and my appt was scheduled at 9:30am. I traveled over an hour to come to the office and it cost me $175 in Uber’s to and from the office. After 3 hours of waiting I was infuriated by the service and the wait. I felt super uncomfortable to let a doctor operate on me with an office who employs people who are so unorganized that they incorrectly schedule patients to see the doctor, esp for a $11,900 surgery. I demanded my entire deposit back and left in tears. I had to then reach out to Shannon 4 times through text, one time through email and even DMed them on Instagram before getting a response regarding my refund. I figured if Dr Delvecchio was the doctor that he is known to be as “the best” he would have called me and apologized and asked me to come back in. I never heard from the doctor and now I have decided to no longer get plastic surgery due to this experience. Very disappointing.
