Almost 2 weeks post op !
Whew! I’ve almost made it to 2 weeks. I’ll try to real down my recovery and sure tips if I could do it again.
First 2 days: These were a blur (and thankfully so)! Going home the nurse said I could sit in the front seat so that wasn’t a problem. I don’t remember feeling any pain. The drainage is by far the most annoying thing of these 2-3 days...just strange to continuously clean up and have more light red liquid coming from who knows where. My thighs and arms leaked the most. I’d buy baby wipes to freshen and gauze pads/surgical tape for after you shower so you can address places still leaking after 48hours. Drainage stopped after day 3. I stopped taking pain meds after day 3. Biggest thing for me was discomfort from laying. I didn’t have the right pillows ad setup and for this reason had a headache the entire time. Got a warm head compress and this helped in terms of making me feel better and helping me sleep. I ordered a pillow specifically for stomach sleepers but it didn’t arrive until a week later. I also ordered a pillow pet bc I am a child and it seriously has helped me sleep too bc I can position it under me or snuggle my arm around it...anything that helps me sleep I am all in. The stomach sleeping pillow was the biggest game changer along with sleeping on a soft squishy pillow under my breasts/belly. I couldn’t do this for the first few days bc of drainage so I was just miz.
Days 3/4: Felt like Michelin man. By day 4 hadn’t had a BM so had to take a stimulant. The lack of sleep and discomfort was still a big thing bc my pillow hadn’t come in. Once I had a BM I started feeling a lot better.
Day 5: I felt amazing bc my pillows came in. I also got a new Indica cartridge for my weed pen and was walking a little faster/better. This was my follow up day with the office. Got good reviews and was sent home.
Day 6-10: Soreness and bruising but I’m getting around well and have plenty of energy. Most annoying thing is all the garments and not being able to sit.
I’ll add before and after pics soon. In general my experience was not personal at all. I think this was because Angela who was coordinating everything was out of town. Even when I was leaving for my follow up no one said bye to me...jut overall felt like I was a number on an assembly line. My results are pretty good so far so I can’t complain too much I guess...just different than my past experiences and what I’d expect for the amount paid.

Surgery tomorrow!
Hello RealSelf friends! It is finally here... going in for BBL and lipo of arms and inner thighs tomorrow at 6am. Really anxious/nervous!! I met Dr. Dass and his staff today and it wasn't the warm and/or comforting experience as some of the previous reviewers have described. Maybe I am just really nervous and overthinking. I will continue to update through post op/recovery. Wish me luck!
