Scar Placement

Hello,

I just wanted to write a quick update in response to comments referring to Dr. Torres method of scar placement, as another patient of his commented on my review and left a review of her own. Dr.Torres wife was kind enough to reach out to me and explain the issue, and clarified that Dr.Torres no longer places incisions on the abdomen. If you also research his recent patients (including the totally documented vlog of Mariah Vitoria on YT) and speak with him on scar placements, you will see he only creates incisions: under each breast, in the belly button, three in the front panty line (right, left and middle), two on the back on each end near the armpit, three in the back panty line, and two underneath each buttocks in the crease. I know this sounds like a lot of incisions but he has to get to every available angle to withdraw the majority of your fat (not all because that’s dangerous and causes skin necrosis and sagging skin) to create a sleek, snatched look. It is important to be aware how your body heals and to be prepared to combat any potential keloids, increasing the health of the scar tissue as it forms. Utilize the aquaphor for scar treatment except the incisions underneath each butt cheek. I also ordered several boxes of silicone scar sheets to help ease the pigmentation of the scars as they heal. I don’t keloid however I do have an issue with my scars being smooth but extremely pale (almost white!) years after the injury. Honestly, don’t just take my word for it but reach out to the surgery center and just ask “where are the incisions placed?” so you can ease your mind.

Getting Closer!

Hi :-) so I wanted to give a quick update as April and my surgery date is slowly advancing. I’m currently 164 pounds (I had gone up to 166 but I lost a few pounds due to being a bit too active in the past three weeks and not eating as often) with measurements of 36”, 30.5”, 42”. The weight is definitely going to my breasts, thighs and hips making me seem very wide or bottom heavy. I stopped taking apetamine to ensure that the weight I’ve gained is my new natural and will be retained regardless of my eating habits. I haven’t taken any apetamine for the past three months and I’m still gaining weight so I’m happy with my results. I was watching a few YouTube BBL blogs and there was finally one with Dr. Torres as the surgeon (Mariah Vitoria is her handle on YT and she documented her entire journey from consultation onward)! She was charged $11,000 for her lipo 360 and BBL (with arm lipo and chin lipo) which was definitely much more than what I was quoted even though her BMI was a 28. Now I got a tad bit worried because my current BMI is 26.5 (5’6” and 164 pounds) and was informed his cutoff point was a BMI of 27 due to the premise that Skin & Skinnier does sculpting and not intense debulking as seen at other surgery centers. So I decided to send the office updated photos of myself, which I will attach, as well as my weight to see if my quote or anything else would change. Hallelujah, they reviewed my information and said I was still good to go but I should maintain this weight until the surgery date! I hope i have enough fat to create a more dramatic look since i already do have ample hips, i just need a large butt to match these extremely thick thighs. I’ve completed the majority of my shopping list for surgery, I just need to order/buy a few comfortable clothes to wear post surgery, diapers and a few more supplements (Floradix for iron levels prior to and post). I’ve purchased two fajas already, one in a L that I can fit into somewhat comfortably that should be perfect for post-op swelling, and a medium which I’m not likely to use since my hips keep spreading like warm butter. If anyones interested, shoot me an email and you can have it (it still has the tags/packaging and hasn’t even been tried on). Oh, I’ve also ordered a BBL chair and bed so that I can live a somewhat normal life after returning from surgery.

New Payment Policy?!

Hi, so I just wanted to give you all a brief update of how things are going in preparation for my surgery in April 2022. I’m currently 160, with measurements of 34,30,41. As you can probably tell a lot of the weight is going straight to my hips and thighs however I will still stay on my high calorie diet with minimal exercise (I have two dogs so we obviously have to go for walks regardless). I called today to make another payment towards my surgery however was notified that at Dr. Torres’ request they would not be taking any further payments prior to the patients check-in the day before surgery. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication of this policy change to scheduled patients. I would prefer to pay as I go at my leisure but now I will just be putting the money away using the Digit app (it’s like a savings account toward your goals but not easily accessible).
