In 2014, I had a BBL done in the Dominican Republic. I was 21.
I’m not going to lie, the first couple of months were great. After the novelty wore off, the reality of it settled in and I quickly found myself regretting the procedure. It was too big for my small frame and I couldn’t take all of the negative attention I received.
I’ve been looking into this surgery for years and I finally found a doctor, close to home, who I believe can make me feel normal again.
Thanks to Kim K I guess for making the reversal so popular. Its been easier now, to find doctors who’ve had experience in this area. Before, I would search and search and maybe find a couple of posts on realself (none with similar booty size), and absolutely zero before and afters on surgeons websites. This wasn’t something anyone talked about very much, but I am glad we are here now.
I have my surgery in a couple of weeks (12/22/23 with Dr. Daniel Yamini) and I am really nervous. I keep telling myself to have realistic expectations and to hope for an improvement, not perfection.
I am doing this so that I don’t have to hide anymore, so that my back can stop hurting, and hopefully to have symmetrical looking cheeks, because one is bigger than the other. I have so much anxiety about my body it makes it difficult for me to do anything or go anywhere.

It gets pretty lonely…

If you are anything like me, this experience has been pretty traumatic and isolating.
I’ve made many failed attempts to hide the booty, the only one thing that seems to work is a long cardigan, or jacket, unzipped.
I often opt for loose clothing, that kinda helps. Some days it gives me the confidence to go put in the world and not think about my body, other days it doesn’t help with the anxiety and whenever someone is behind me, I have this great urge to go home and hide. People give me anxiety.

It is way too big for my frame. You can mostly tell when I wear tight clothing (see jeans image). You can see that my butt doesn’t match my thighs

All the best for your upcoming reduction. I am in the same situation. I deeply regret my BBL. It just got bigger and bigger. I hope to get a reduction as soon as I get the funds for it. Rooting for you. You will surely come out looking great.

Thank you! I have waited almost a decade for this. Getting the funds and choosing a surgeon has definitely been nerve wracking. There isn’t enough information out there for doctors in my area. Thanks for the support.

Its, ok. Once I have the surgery I’ll be sure to make an update for anyone curious. I hope the Jplasma (renuvion) helps minimize any risk if sagging.

Only a few days away now. As of today,
Weight- 129lbs
Hips/booty- 43inches
I am very nervous, I’m hoping that everything goes well. I don’t know what to expect. I will do my best to give many updates to help anyone that wants to go down this road. I know how frustrating it can be to not have enough information about this and being afraid of the outcomes.
Here’s how I decided I would take time off of work:
12/20 Wednesday is my last day at work
12/22 Friday at 6am is my surgery.
1/1 I am returning to work
