Definitely Recommend Dr. Bowker at Mia Aesthetics
So I had done lots and lots of research before by BBL surgery seeing how everything happened so quickly. I booked in October to have my surgery in January and I was so nervous because I couldn’t really find anything on my doctor, Dr. Bowker, as he was still fairly new to Mia Aesthetics. Some of their doctors had mixed reviews and I had even read about the fairly recent death that Dr. Alvarez had and it really had me worried. Needless to say, I went ahead with the surgery and I couldn’t be happier.
The receptionist crew at Mia (at least in the post-op area) can definitely use some training on professionalism as they are all over the place. Very unorganized, unprofessional in the conversations they have in-front of patients and just one of them even put the wrong patient wristband on a patient smh. That could have been a huge disaster. But Dr. Bowker was amazing. He was so nice, sincere and was happy to answer any questions you had.
He was also very honest which makes a huge difference when getting cosmetic surgery. I knew that I wouldn’t see him much after my surgery especially since everything had gone well but I requested to see him anyway and he came right in to answer more of my questions and make sure I was healing properly. Every woman I met in the waiting room that had their surgery with him, all said the same great things. If you are considering your surgery with Mia Aesthetics, I highly recommend going with Dr. Bowker!
As far as the surgery itself, it went by so quickly and there is more discomfort than there is pain! If you can make it past the part of waking up from the anesthesia, then you will be golden because to me, that was the hardest part! You wake up in a very cold room, feeling half conscious, and it's just really rough. I didn’t think I was going to make it at one point, but the nurses were very attentive and made sure I was good before releasing me. I know this post was kind of all over the place lol but I hope it helps if this is something you are considering. I say go for it! It will all be worth it in the end!
