My February 2019 vacation to the DR. 2 months post op. (Late post)
The way my curves are set up I was killing them on the beach in the DR. This was February 2019 not quite 2 months after surgery. I wore my faja the majority of my trip even on my dune buggy ride. The weather was sundress perfect and I had a ball.
Still loving my results-sorry I've been MIA
I have been super busy with life but wanted to stop by to update my review. I am still in love with my results 4 months later. I've proved my day of pics that the Queen took prior to surgery and one taken 4 months post op. I still wear my faja occasionally but today like most days I'm wearing a waist trainer of some sort; I have many all purchased on Amazon. I have to purchase most of my dresses larger than I would like to accomodate my hips and butt then have the waist altered. I've found a great alteration spot in the mall so I've built a rapport with the owner so he is very accommodating and gets my stuff back to me quickly. He's also altered my fajas. Friends and family have started noticing since winter is almost over (I live in a city with bipolar weather;snowing Saturday and 50 Sunday and raining today) and I don't have to wear several layers. I realized that I am still wearing big sweatshirts that make me look huge so I plan to take the advice of my coworker and find comfort and confidence in my new body and wear clothes that accentuate it. I spent too much money to be hiding this body. Summer is coming which means sundresses all summer long. I will definitely post pics when the sun comes out.
Made it to the flat side
I apologize that I have not updated in a while. Well, to recap: I flew to Miami by way of Fort Lauderdale (flew southwest airlines) on Monday December 17. I had my preop appointment on Tuesday December 18 with Dr. Dowbak, she is the absolute most humble person on Earth. She was informative, direct and funny asl. I wore a maxi dress to my preop appointment and she told me to lift my dress so she could see what she was working with. She acknowledged the big gut that had to go, the flat butt that needed to be addressed and the fact that my hips were already proportionate to my height and frame. She gave me a packet of information to read over that night (which was full of valuable information regarding pre surgery, what to expect during surgery and post op) which I read in my hotel room. She also gave me my prescriptions and instructions for the meds. I had my scripts filled at Walgreens closer to my hotel to avoid running into the problem of the pharmacy not having the meds. I thought they would be covered under my insurance but the total was almost $200; lucky for me I had a prescription discount card I picked up at my PCP's office and the total went down to about $117 (I bought a few other things). Wednesday December 18 was the magic day. I was supposed to be at the surgery center at 9:30; since I had heard horror stories about traffic I ordered my Uber a little early and arrived around 9. On my ride in the surgery center called and asked if I could come early (already in route Boo). Well I arrive, sign in and wait (not long). I am called back ( I think I was scheduled to be #3 or 4 for surgery) I'm given my drug test cup and my paper gown, compression socks and start the process. The nurse comes in and asked if I took a Xanax this morning, of course I did because Dr. Dowbak told me too if I wanted to relax my nerves. BIG NO NO!!! The anesthesiologist came in and wanted to cancel my surgery because of the risks of the Xanax reacting with the anesthesia. I told him I was willing to wait until midnight to have surgery but I could not afford to reschedule my surgery to the next day. God and the cutie pie anesthesiologist had mercy on me and allowed me to wait until later in the day. So basically I went back out into the lobby and waited a few hours. Fast forward to the time. They took me in the back again, I change into the paper gown, Dr. Dowbak apologizes again for recommending that I take the Xanax and she starts to mark me up. She's like do you want the Nikki or Beyonce; I told her my 20 year old told me not to come home with a big ole butt. Anyway the next thing I remember vaguely is getting into the RH van and being whisked off to the RH, and being cold as hell and having to pee really bad. I made it to the RH, Secret Orchid of Miami, and they had soup and gatorade waiting for me. I was a little shaky from the anesthesia but as soon as I ate I felt much better. They offered me to sleep overnight downstairs but I was able to walk upstairs and I fell out but not before realizing that my purse (with all my cash) was missing. Anywhoo, I went back for post op Thursday morning ( l felt and looked 100% better so much that the driver didn't even recognize me) and first asked about my purse. Dr. Dowbak got wind of the fact that my purse was missing she stopped everything she was doing and told the staff to find my purse. Well long story short the surgical nurse had tossed in the back of the van and it was buried under a bunch of stuff and everything was there. I was checked my the nurse and advised to go to New Life for my massage and to get my second garment. The massage was decent by Olga, the wait was ridiculous. I had a follow up a massage the next day with Olga again which was good. I also had a massage scheduled at the RH the second day po as well that was excellent. Before I left for home on Saturday I had another in house massage which was fabulous. I left to come home Saturday evening December 21. My flight was good,I fell asleep before take off for about an hour. I got a little stiff so I stood for another hour in the front section of the plane right in front of my seat. Eventually the flight attendant said I couldn't stand there but could stand in the back. For the rest of the flight I stood in the back chatting with the flight attendants. I will update more and post pics soon. I am truly happy with my results. As far as I am concerned Dowbak is still the Queen of BBL's.
