Pre-op / Surgery two weeks away.

Hi dolls!
Before I start this post, i want to thank all of you ladies who have shared your journey. It has been a tremendous help! I think I’ve dedicated a good 2-3 hours a day to stalking this site/app. Anyway let’s get to it.
Im officially 2 weeks away from my surgery!!! This process has been so stressful (mainly because I’m a professional over-thinker.) I’ve had a tummy tuck/breast augmentation years ago. I’ve always been very thin with no booty though, and given the fact that I’ve put some weight on this past year, I want to take advantage and put that fat to good use! So after years of back and forth, im getting a BBL.
I reached out to new life a few months back and Lizandra responded to me. Ladies, if you want to be treated with LOVE and patience, I strongly recommend that you reach out to Lizandra. I’m going to post a picture of her business card on this post! I have read so many reviews on new life and i was worried i was going to have a horror story, but from the moment she and i spoke over the phone, we clicked! I live in Miami, so it is important to me to feel at ease through this process, and she’s been available for me every time. If she’s busy, she always calls me back (I’m one of those people who call to ask the most random questions, and she understand this, she’s always so welcoming!) I love that she’s so sweet, I literally feel like she’s a friend of mine who just so happens to work there.
RH- as I mentioned, I live in Miami (25 minutes from the clinic to be precise). I’m not going to stay at a recovery house, but I do want to book a hotel that’s close to new life, to shorten my car rides to during my first week post-op. My mom is a nurse so she will be taking care of me post-op.
Supplies - I have been so last minute. Mostly because i don’t want to buy anything until I’m cleared for surgery. I did get my vitamins though, and I’m going to order the rest of my supplies today.
Now let’s talk about PRE-OP:
Today I went to new life for pre-op and I must say it is NOTHING like what I’ve read in reviews/RS. Granted, the place is busy, but I didn’t feel like the staff was “incompetent” or “all over the place”. I went in mentally prepared to wait hours to meet Dr.Dowbak, and I was wrong! My appointment was for 3:30PM, and I decided to go early (an hour early) since I was already in the area. I checked in and was ready to wait, after 20/25 minutes, my name was called! The moment I was waiting for! I was escorted to Dr.Dowbak’s office and she was still with patients, but I was sitting so close to the door I heard the entire interaction. I already LOVED the doctor, but hearing her consultation was so relieving (my heart was going a thousand miles per hour.). She truly is so sweet. When it was my turn to go in, she greeted me with a warm smile and the first thing she said to me was that I was very beautiful. She kept complimenting me and I felt so at peace. All of my doubt went out the window. Dr.Dowbak cares about her patients, you can feel it once you meet her, that she isn’t your typical surgeon. Anyway, she checked me out and we discussed what I wanted. I instantly went from being worried and stressed to finally feeling the excitement about my surgery!! She gave me all of my prescriptions as well as all of my pre and post operative instructions. Before i left she gave me her phone number and i was on my way. I cannot wait to get this over with!
Ladies, please please PLEASE don’t go into this with a negative mind. I have been stressed for three weeks, FOR NOTHING. I literally spent time reading people’s reviews, and getting upset when MY situation has been nothing but smooth. I got to speak to a few dolls while I was waiting (they all looked SNATCHED!) and while they each had different experiences, they all seemed really happy with their results. This place is in high demand, and Dr.Dowbak is AMAZING! So keep a positive outlook, and God first. Everything will work out in your favor and you’re going to look amazing.

I went back to new life for my blood work today, and it was brief. It was pretty quiet and empty when I got there. I saw one of Dowbak’s patients being wheeled out as I was walking in (I recognized her because she had a beautiful red rose in her hand). I was like YASSSSSSS girl, lol!

I got there around 9AM, gave blood and did my EKG. The nurse was super nice and informative. First time in my life I didn’t feel the pinch when the blood was being drawn. I was in and out in about an hour, not bad.

I also signed all the paper work, the girl who helped me (Mary I believe is her name) was also super nice and funny. We talked as I was signing, and she made me feel really comfortable.

I am sooo excited. I’ve been taking my supplements religiously, as well as drinking a gallon of water a day. Almost there!

Just paid my balance in full, I’m officially days away from surgery! AHHHHHHH! I can’t believe I’m almost there! I haven’t posted any before pictures because I’ve had ppl tell me I don’t “need” the surgery. But this isn’t a need for me, it’s a WANT. I’ll be posting pre/post op pics after surgery. This process has been so smooth, I really wish I didn’t stress so much in the beginning. I’ll post after surgery dolls
