Pre-Op

Hello Dolls!
I arrived to Miami 12/15 and got everything set up. I went to Walmart to purchase last minute items: Gatorade, water, ensure, Ice cream, soup, crackers, juice, yogurt and unscented baby wipes. My PreOp appt was 12/16 between 12:30-3:30. I arrived around 1:30 and wasn’t seen until 5:30pm. Eat before or take some food because you will be starving! The clinic is a storefront and not very nice, upscale inside so don’t be alarmed. There are tons of girls waiting for preop as well and massages. During preop you get your height and weight taken and meet the Queen herself. She’s amazing, very sweet, personable, thorough and makes you feel at ease. She takes a brief look at you and tells you whet she is going to do. She gives you a rose, a booklet and your scripts (Bactrim to prevent infection, diflucan in case you get a yeast infection, Zofran for nausea and Percocet). The Percocets were very difficult to find, my fiancé and I drove around after preop (traffic was insane!) and couldn’t find them so he went and looked again when I was in sx. There are Walmart’s, sams club, CVS, Walgreens, Navarro where you can check. If you’re with a recovery house they typically know where to go. It was a long day so be prepared to be at the clinic for hours waiting.

I had my 360 Brazilian Butt Lift yesterday. I arrived at the clinic at 6am and was taken back to a small waiting room around 7:30am. I took a urine test and changed into my gown, compression socks, bonnet and booties. Dr. Dowbak came in around 8:30 and marked me up. I then went into sx at about 9am and my fiancé said he was notified I was done around 11:15am. Laying on the table the anesthesiologist talks to you as he is getting things set up, he injects I guess what would be the anesthesia and asks you to take a deep breath which leaves a nasty taste in the back of your mouth. Your hand gets numb and then you feel it move up your arm, across tour face and you’re out. Waking up from surgery, you’re lying on your back and sooo cold and uncomfortable. Bone chilling cold, I was shivering so bad. They had a blanket over me with a tube attachment that blows in warm air, and still it was soooo cold. My booty felt like a rock. The nurse helped me roll over onto my stomach and that didn’t help much. 1.) I was so sore and weak I could barely move and 2) the pressure on my lower back hurt so bad. I wanted to get on my knees to relive the pain. When my fiancé arrived the nurse helped me into a wheelchair and took me out back to him. You can barley move, you’re so sore and stiff and can only take baby steps. The nausea from the anesthesia is horrible and you’re severely thirsty. My fiancé had to stop at a gas station on the way to the hotel to get me a Gatorade which I sucked down. During surgery they connect you to an IV with 3 liters of tumescent fluid which breaks up the fat easier. As soon as you stand it leaks from your incisions so bad. You can not have enough towels, Chux pads, etc. I ruined so many towels and a pillow here at the hotel! A little TMI but I got my period a day before surgery and you can not fit a pad in your faja! I was a mess, my faja was soaked and there’s an are u can unzip to pee, be prepared to for the urine to go all over your faja and legs. I feel sooo gross. You WILL NEED an extra faja and compression socks because the ones they provide get ruined so quick. Anytime you stand to go the the bathroom you will need some one to escort you as you will be weak, dizzy and nauseous. Each time I would get so sick going to the bathroom I would have to lean over the bathroom sink and continuously splash cold water over my face. It really helps!! I had to get a cot from the hotel because the bed was too high to climb on. The cot is so uncomfortable, you can feel every spring and laying on your stomach makes it no better. You will need a pillow to place under your pelvis and prop it up to alleviate the pressure on your lower back. To get up you have to use your arms like a push up and it is so hard and painful. Your whole body aches except your legs. My neck and shoulder muscles are so tight from laying on stomach. Being comfortable doesn’t exist and I believe it won’t until we are allowed to lay on our sides and back again. Your booty is so tight it feels like it’s going to explode. I get up on my hands and knees and rock back and forth to stretch it and my muscles. The pain and being uncomfortable is hell! I love my results already but I would never do this again. I am hurting so bad and sleeping is impossible. For me the percs don’t help with the pain they just put me to sleep for 1.5-2 hours which is the longest I’ve slept. It feels like my abs are ripping every time I get up. There’s no way to prepare for this Dolls, pain is beauty.

So post op massages hurt like hell. My first massage was obviously the toughest . She worked on my back and flanks first which were uncomfortable but loosened me up. It felt like I did an intense workout and my body was sore. When I got on my knees for her to do my stomach, the pain was excruciating - I couldn’t do it and she had to stop. The following day the massage was much better and I was able to get through her working on my stomach. I was unable to get my 3rd massage as I had to leave Miami unexpectedly but I did get one yesterday which helped sooo much. I woke up very swollen and when I removed my garment this was a pool of fluid on the right side of my hip and pelvis which was able to be worked out. Your incisions close quickly and start closing around day 4. Don’t be afraid to massage yourself too. I am 5 days post op and FINALLY feeling like I’m healing and myself again. For me, the first 5 days were brutal. I was so miserable, always had a headache, didn’t have an appetite, couldn’t sleep longer than 2 hours, had SOB, lightheadedness and dizziness. I was so swollen and felt so sore. This morning I felt like I was dying, I was so sick and now I feel like a brand new person. I’ve been drinking pedialyte, V8 fruit juice and Bolthouse green goodness as well as water. All of my incisions are closed but I still keep them covered with a bandaid. I attached some pictures from yesterday. Today I measured my waist and hips; preop waist measurement was a 33 and today it was only a 32 due to the swelling so I’m excited to see that number drop during this journey. My hips/butt went from a 42 to a 46.
