7 days post op / THE PILLOW/ foods/ first outfit

So this will be quick. I want to encourage everyone to get a long rectangular pillow from Walmart. They are usually 17x26 inches or anything around that . This will be your BEST FRIEND after the meds. You will put this pillow on every sleeping surface ( between your stomach and the car seats) to lay on during car rides. I sleep on it on the bed (with the bed pads on it when i was still draining), i kneel on it when I eat. It’s an absolute life saver.
food and drinks must haves post op: the first da or two you wont be able to eat and entire meal so jello and soup was a great easy go to:
Ice cream! The cool feeling is very comforting.
Water - everyday
Gatorade - everyday
Dole 100% pineapple juice - everyday
Jello (ate mine with whipped cream, first 24/48hrs)
Chicken noodle soup( first 24/48hrs)
Oatmeal - everyday
Maderma- i will use for the scars at two weeks marks.

Whewww! I don’t even know where to start. Me previous review was the day of my surgery so i was just too weak and the meds make you super drowsy! New life is a hot mess. Dr dowbak is wonderful if you can find the patience to deal with those girls at new life just to get to dowbak then go for it. Do not get your massages there . Everything is an hour to two hours wait regardless of your appointment and That is just 3 to 4 more days of unprofessionalism and run around you don’t need. The main thing that annoed me THE MOST Is how they all freely answer personal phone calls right in your face! I had to ask one girl to finish giving me instructions before answering her call from “ mi amor” . .., oh and they barely speak English too ! After my first massage I promptly demanded my money back for all my massages. I was one day post op and the lady was massaging my damn legs! She had no idea i had lipo and had to be drained! I went to medical massage professionals which is literally across the street by the way and the difference was vast! No waiting time the lady Cindy knew exactly what to do and so gentle and patient! I have been going there every day since and i am soooo glad i no longer have to step foot in new life! Outside of that i stayed at an air bnb because I had a family member. I have used every single thing i listed in my packing list! I added arnicare tablets which works wonders with stiffness. Please feel free to ask questions :)

Did they refund you for the massages you paid for at new life? How much does Cindy’s cost? My turn is next week and I am a nervous wreck. Iv already had horrible issues with newlife so I’m embracing myself.
Yes they sure did. Cindy’s are 90 n u get ten dollars off each when u get a package of 2 or more

How soon after surgery do you need to start massages?

Very next day and everyday after until u get 5. After that you can get twice a week until the first months
120 for mine cuz I need her outcalls. It's cheaper for me to ask them to come to me rather than paying for transportation with recovery lifts or uber.
How do you feel today? Any pain?
I feel wonderful im going to the laundromat to wash everything that got bloody

Yes it was good that first one gets really bloody after the first day so bring hydrogen peroxide to get the blood out

I never saw the dr again but i did tell him I wanted 1200 in each

Oh good luck and hope your experience will be great. Will u be staying at a recovery house or private (hotel or air Bob) cos I'll be going with my 12 year old son and want to know the best place to book. Thanks
