Mixed Feelings

I am 6 weeks post op today and
Let me start off by saying that I researched this doctor since he worked in 305 plastic surgery, but I was hesitant to do it in that high volume clinic, so when he finally moved to Careaga Plastic Surgery was when I decided to do a in person consultation with him…. The consultation was great and He took this time and it made me feel great
I traveled to Miami and went to my PreOp appointment to pay for the surgery, which I have to say that one of the good things about this clinic is that you pay the day before your surgery, you don’t have to pay the full amount 2-3 weeks before, so that was good!
Paid for my fajas and the Ogee Recovery Protocol ( $680 on 3 fajas, $245 the ogee roller, $210 fibroguard)
I requested to be his first case of the day but they said they can’t accommodate that

Day of the surgery I was scheduled @11AM and I went in for surgery @1PM,
The anesthesiologist was kind and patient with me, also the nurse was very informative and she had a BBL herself with doctor William so she gave me very positive feedback while I was waiting
When Doctor William came in to mark me, it was a bit rushed, he asked me what I was getting done and he said
“You have a tiny waist and a big deposits of fat, so don’t worry you gonna look amazing because you have the “winning combination “

When I woke up the pain level wasn’t bad, it was mostly the anesthesia that makes me feel uneasy and it felt like the nurse was rushing to wake me up, I was in observation for less than 1 hour, based on what my family told me

I have to say that there are 2 massage therapist both name Judith and they are both amazing!! So patient and very professional
I actually stayed 10 days in Miami just to make sure I got good massages at the clinic how Doctor William recommended… Back home I still hired a massage therapist and I booked 30 massages in the curse of the next 12 weeks with her just to make sure I maximize my results and prevent any further complications or fibrosis

2 weeks PostOp I was supposed to do my virtual 2week consultation with the nurse, Maryann Armah… I had to reach out to her multiple times for her to call me and her response was
“ Hi! I’m sorry no one called, I got surgery done today so I won’t be in the office all of next week :( I can continue to email you here through my phone”Like she didn’t know she was going to be out of the office on those dates… Very unprofessional and not taking it serious, most of the staff is under 30 years old, so I can tell they have very little experience on how to handle patient care
I finally called someone else and a nurse from the doctor Daniel Careaga team called me and helped me with my concerns…

The doctor saw me at 5 week mark and I have to say that even thought I knew the surgery wasn’t going to be magic , I had very high expectations from Doctor William since I watched all his videos and he did tell me “you have the winning combination” to look at my self and see my uneven fat transfer
He did delivered with the Lipo 360, but unfortunately not with the fat transfer and his famous Ogee Look, because one side is flatter than the other

I’m grateful because I didn’t have any complications and I have an improvement on my shape, but I do have fibrosis on my arms and like I previously said I had more than 30 massages
I spent 20k after all the expenses that comes with the surgery and having to travel to Miami…
If you have the money and 20k is nothing to you, great, than give him the benefit of the doubt, but to me it’s bitter sweet because it’s an extremely painful, expensive and extensive process to not look the way you expected to, maybe I had unrealistic expectations but you can see for yourself the before and after does not look to what they post on IG or YTvideos
