Finally back to the gym with very light workouts. Prior to surgery I was running 3 mile HIIT circuits on the treadmill followed by full body weights 3-5x a week, currently I spend 15-20 minutes on the treadmill followed by about 20 minutes of deeeeeeeep stretching and 30-45 minutes of slow paced weights and machine workouts with about 50-70% of my normal weight max. My obliques and hamstrings constantly feel tight, but that’s mostly due to my line of work (construction) and being on my feet 12-14 hours a day with 8-12 miles clocked on my Fitbit per day. However, my arms are still incredibly tight and still show signs of facia attachment so I spend time stretching them the best I possibly can.
My body rejected the stitches which I’m super bummed about. My sister who is a nurse removed 7 stitches from my back and hips that were sticking straight out at 3 weeks. At my 1 month PO I pointed out the extremely deep and thick scabs on both my elbows and my right knee to Dr Sato, she said my body rejected the stitches and grew scabs over them. So she has to remove the scabs (uhm ow!) and pulled the stitches out. Unfortunately those spots are left with deep crater like scars but as of right now (8 weeks) the craters have improved a tiny bit. She gave me some high end scar cream and told me to massage it into each spot for 1 full minute 2 times per day, which I’ll admit I have definitely been lacking.
I had a huge lump of scar tissue under my chin that I could not get rid of and it was staring to change the shape of my chin so I was freaking out a little bit. I brought into to the PS that I go to for my Botox and he gave me a Kenalog shot (which is a steroid) and holy crap did it make a difference! It’s been a week and a half and it’s literally 1/3 of the size and no longer bright red! It’s definitely still there so I may ask for another injection next time I go in but for now I am so thankful he knew exactly what to do and it was only $25!
I still have realllllly bad swelling days, where I literally want to cry because I look the same as I did prior to surgery but I take a vitamin concoction and it usually resides in a day (diurex, turmeric pills, psyllium husk pills, L-glutamine, multi collagen & vitamin c with rose hips) and of course still drinking my trusty pineapple juice.
I still have issues with sleeping on my side so I’ve pretty much relied on this $8 body pillow from Walmart and I sleep on top of that for extra padding.
So far I’m super happy with my shape, the only thing I’m a little disappointed in is my thighs. I’ve taken before and after measurements and they’re the same size as before, however the inner part of my knee to thigh area looks really good! I never realized I had a little fat pocket on both knees. I’m going to give it another month and then consider having some treatment to my upper thighs and above my knee caps if they haven’t reduced in size by then.
I hope my review has been helpful to everyone doing their research! If there’s any questions or anything else you’d like to see me cover please feel free to comment! Xo

I will be 4 weeks post op this upcoming tuesday and I’m doing okay. Recovery is extremely rough for me. Dr Sato did tell me I didnt bleed much during the surgery so she was able to take out more than just 5L!! But this recovery is no joke. I have so many things working against me, just praying that after my massages i’ll love the results.
How are you feeling now? Are you still getting massages??

Everywhere that was Lipo’d is still completely numb and hard/lumpy. I FINALLY found an amazing lady for massages thank god! If you’re in the Baton Rouge area - go to massage emporium and make an appt with Olga for a medical massage. I’m going to continue to see her weekly for 60-90 minutes 1-2 times a week as long as I can
