So far, so good - looking forward to seeing my final results

My experience with Dr. Nykiel has been great so far. It was all of the positive reviews and photos on this website that led me to him in the first place. From my first consultation, he has been present and involved in the whole process. I had a past experience with a different physician who I met for the first and only time 10 minutes before undergoing my procedure (not present at my consultation, no pre-op introduction, not present at follow-up appointments). My experience with Dr. Nykiel has been very different - it's obvious that he is invested in his patients' safety and satisfaction. His overall demeanor is great - professional but easygoing and friendly. His staff are fantastic as well. Before my procedure, I was provided with a booklet of very detailed instructions and important information, so when the day of my surgery came, I felt very prepared. He emphasizes the importance of post-op lymphatic drainage massages and provides a list of recommended places/therapists. The post-op journey is, for me, much harder than the surgery/initial recovery itself. It requires a great deal of dedication on the part of the patient, and this is something that Dr. Nykiel makes clear from the beginning. I am a little over three weeks post-op and really looking forward to seeing my final results. If all continues going well, I'm sure I'll be back for another procedure/treatment.
And just a note for anyone considering BBL, lipo, etc.: make sure you have the full picture of what is needed post-op before committing to the procedure. Lymphatic drainage massages, compression garments, etc., are necessary and costly. If you have any financial concerns, be aware that the final cost will be much higher than the cost of the procedure itself. Do your research and go to a physician like Dr. Nykiel who not only doesn't underplay the importance of post-op care, but also provides you with the information and instructions that you need.
