Before and After Pics
I finally got my before and after results. I am so shocked. I had to ask for the before and after pics from my surgery coordinator, arlene. It took almost a week to receive them back. I had bbl, lipo, and chin lipo. I also added a one week post op pic so you could also compare how I look in the faja as well.
After surgery
I woke up in my room after the surgery. I saw that I had a roommate with me and they were both caring for us. It helped so much to have someone with you that you could talk to and was going through the same thing as you. My roomie got a tummy tuck and lipo. The nurses would constantly check on us, give us pain relievers, food, water/arnica tea, etc. We passed the time talking and went to bed late. I passed out because I was exhausted from the flight and the surgery. However my roommate barely slept. We both woke up at 6am and were told that we would get a shower. My roomie went first and they helped her take her guazes off and helped her up. She walked hunched over and made it to the shower and back without falling. However she got a bit dizzy after they were putting her in the faja for the first time. They layed her down after putting on the compression stockings. It was my turn. It was a bit difficult getting up, but they helped me. I immediately felt dizzy so I had to stay sitting for a bit. It feels really weird to sit on your butt because it feels so hard. After my dizziness went away, I was able to stand and the nurse cut the gauze/bandages off. Then I slowly starting to walk to the shower. The shower felt AMAZING. The water was warm and it felt so good to feel clean (I forgot to mention that I drank a small bottle of water and threw up. Your supposed to sip the water and I drank it all without knowing) then they dryed me off and I slowly walked back the the bed. I brought my curvygyals faja with me and they helped me put it on. It was hard for them because they never put one like that on. It felt so good to be compressed and I felt like I could walk around/more like myself. After they finished that they put on my compression stockings and I layed back down. They brought us our food which was arnica tea, juice pouch, Avena( which is oatmeal) toast and some type of syrup. I wasn't able to eat it because I was afraid after I threw up. However my roomie ate it all and said it was really good. They took the food away when we were finished and we just spent the rest of the time talking, waiting to get discharged. We did a lot of exams in order to be discharged. It took forever but I was finally let go between 12 to 1pm.
Surgery day 06/21/22
So after entering, they made u fill out alot of paperwork. If you don't speak Spanish, they will say everything in English. There were 6 girls in total for the day. They take you back to get your height, weight, blood, and pee. After completing that they will send u back and another girl goes. Then I was called to take photos for my before and after and I explained to the nurse what I wanted. I got sent back down and a few minutes later they call me again. I had to take a ekg test. The man was very sweet and mindful as well. Once collecting all the samples, it is sent to a lab to see the results. I came back being 33.6 BMI with a hemo of 14. I was approved for surgery. However half the girls stay at the Bella bodiez location and the other go across the street. I was sent to the other side with my new bestie. They have 4 doctors in total, two on each side. They took us by car to the other location, which is right across the street. Once coming in, you are sent to a room. My room has two hospital beds and a shower/bathroom. They put your stuff in the room, and tell you to take a shower. They give you compression socks, a razor if you need to shave your kitty, a net to put in your hair, and they already have antibacterial soap in the bathroom. Once showered, you get dressed in a goan and the rest of the things they gave u. Since you already have an iv thing in your hand from when they took your blood, they only attach it to a clear white bag to get you hydrated. They also attach a smaller one that is for antibiotics. After this multiple people come in and out of the room prepping for surgery. One will ask if he can take a video of you, your nurses will introduce themselves, etc. Etc. This will roughly take 1 hr and a half to 2 hrs because I was the second to go into surgery. Then the nurse who took pictures of you before/ and took your payment comes in with the doctor who was matched with your surgery. I believe his name was Dr Gustavo. He was really sweet, and just asked me what it was that I was looking for. Then he would explain how he would do something. I wanted my hips to look more natural because one side had a pocket of fat compared to the other that was flat, so I wanted them evened out. He gave me two options to see which look I preferred but I told him for him to choose because I just wanted a more natural/even look. He then began to mark up my body, front and back. He explains while he is examining you and marking u up. Then after he is done he will go through all of it again to make sure I understood and was okay with it. You are sat back on the bed, and then the nurse comes in. She told me that I will be seen in about ten mins. After time passed and it was my turn, she came in and told me it was time to get up to be taken to the or. Since I was in the first room, I just went out and took a right. There was a small or room where I am handed off to a surgical nurse. The nurse that took me there explained everything they did to me up to this point, my allergy, etc. The surgical nurse then took me inside and told me to lay on my back on the bed and they attached some more things to my Iv. They told me to turn on my side and that soon I wouldn't remember anything. Seeing her inject something into my hand iv was the last thing I remember.
