13 days post op!
Hello hello! It’s been a couple days since I last posted. Today I’m 13 days post op, I feel good, I feel healthy still a little out of energy at times but every day it gets better I promise. Sooo I’m finally back home. Flew back on the 7th day after my surgery, first flight 5 hours and 30 minutes, second one 4 hours and 30 minutes. I gotta say it was way better than I expected, I truly gota admit tho that I really prepared myself psychologically before I even hopped on that plane because I knew it could be tough but I survived lol. Only thing that really really really bothered me was the swelling on my feet knees and just legs in general because that made it hard for me to walk during the flight which I was told to do occasionally. I got 5 lymphatic drainage massages down in Miami with Body By Zunilda, they were so sweet and patient with me because I swear I was yelling and whining like a mf every time they touched me but I knew it was part of the process. Soooo necessary! So now back home I have already gotten 2 massages and I will be going for 10 more since they are crucial during this time. I ended up purchasing a second faja (size S) from Mendieta’s office besides the one I came out of surgery wearing (size M) and worth it! Because with time you can really really start feeling the swelling going down and it’s important to stay compressed at all times. On my 10th day after surgery I started wearing my size S and here I am! Gotta admit until today my knees and feet are still swollen but going down and doing waaay better. Yesterday I drove for the first time, slow movements since I’m still stiff in certain areas like my back and stomach. Aaaand today I went to my local clinic to take my drains out since they were still not ready to remove before, I was draining a lot lot. But no more drains now and I feel great. Can’t wait for the rest of the swelling to go down! Wish me luck I’m going back to work in 1 week but feel extremely happy with my results and God bless Mendieta’s hands and everybody that made my journey better. Also shout out to my big sister who took care of me this whole time, I never knew I was sooo freaking annoying and demanding until this time :/ lol make sure whoever takes care of you is ready for that! Cause this is a roller coaster but to me, it’s been worth the ride :D
Front!
This picture was taken after only 1 session of massages and after my first time showering (3 days post op). For the record I was experiencing a little bit of bloating on my stomach more than usual since at the time I hadn’t used the bathroom yet but now I finally have! Also don’t mind my new tattoos I only covered one. They are not in the original pictures because I scheduled my surgery back in October and got those tattoos done on the same month after sending in my before pictures.
Day 2 after surgery
Alright guys so surgery was Thursday morning and today in Saturday.... ewfff What can I say? I feel like I’ve been beaten up lol I’m super sore and bruised but feeling a little better each day and trying super hard to recover my energy. I have been sleeping on my stomach, need my sister’s help in order to get up every time. I have this burning sensation in my stomach from the lipo and that’s the worst part but I’m popping a perc every 5 hours in order to cope with the pain. Yesterday was the first time I saw myself without the garment and although I’m super swollen, I’m loving my results so far! Before coming to Miami I didn’t know what to expect because I have read that the staff at 4Beauty wasn’t too professional but honestly they are the best!! Super sweet and caring. I have nothing negative to say about this clinic or the doctor. I’m hoping that this recovery process goes by fast because I haven’t really been sleeping good due to how uncomfortable this whole thing is. Yesterday I had my first post op massage and oh my freaking god. I whined and cried and yelled like a little baby. I know the whole building heard me but I was told it was normal... I felt like I was gonna die honestly that was the worst part. My next massage is Monday so I hope I’m not in so much pain by then. Anyways, ask me any questions!! And wish me luck on the rest of this journey.
