So after stalking RealSelf for nearly 4 years the time has come where I’m finally about to have my procedure(BBL). I’m super scared, excited and idk, just every possible emotion you can think of! My surgery date is 6/7/18 with dr Dowbak in my hometown of Miami fl. I’m currently 5’7 219 lbs and most of my weight is in my midsection and I hate it!

We can do it, since my last post I’ve lost 5lbs! How much did you have to lose?

She didn’t say but she said to get the best results try to be 10lbs within your weight goal. I need to lose about 10lbs by my surgery date June 5th

HI, I am also having surgery with Dr. Dowbak in Oct. 2018. I have got to loose about 30 pounds. I have been told to avoid carbs as much as possible and not to eat many times a day because that spikes your insulin and causes your body to hold on to fat. My BMI has to be under 34 so I've got work to do. I am excited about your surgery and can't wait to see your results.

So for my procedure I have to lose 10 lbs. I’ve been dieting and exercising but I’m having a hard time losing the weight as fast as I would like. I’m just about a month away from surgery and I can’t take diet pills... anybody know of any good and effective weight loss regimens???

Stick to a Keto diet!!! Protect ur investment and find the inner strength to stay focused;) This is about you and ur on ur way to becoming a better version of u!!! Stay away from obvious carbs -rice/ breads/ pastas ... which converts into sugar. Ur body will thank u for it! U can do it girly!

I’ve had my struggles with diets/weight loss. What’s worked for me is starting off small by eating less junk & going out to eat less little by little. & as you start to cut off your junk foods, try different healthy alternative foods to incorporate into your diet. So don’t go cold turkey-right away because you’ll hate it and give up. Also 20-30min of cardio helps as well. Good luck

Actually I didn’t read your post correctly. Sorry I didn’t realize you only have a month. I say less cards, drink actual green tea with no sugar, and if u have access to a sauna use it. And jogging is a good fat burner. Good luck again lol

Hello how are you ok so you said you need to lose 10lbs.first let me say if you drink any alcohol you have to stop until after your surgery.second start shortening your meals and try not to eat after 7p.m walk every day for 30/40 minutes then the week before surgery do the military diet trust me all of this hard but it's well worth it coming from a person who's lost 50 lb in 7 month's.I had my surgery with Dr.ortega April 28,2018

So I don’t understand why I’m having such a hard time losing weight. I don’t eat chicken, beef, pork, or turkey(haven’t since December). Not a fan of bread, gave up seafood 2 weeks ago. All I drink is water (and occasional green tea) and I take all of the supplements my surgical coordinator has advised. I’ll lose what I think to be 2-3 lbs just to get on the scale the next day to see I’m back at my starting weight. I literally am writing this after a run and a 15 min fat burning workout. My biggest fear is not being able to have my procedure because of my weight ....I’m really sad guys. My co worker told me she lost 4lbs after a colonic so I’m going to try that next :’(

You also have to remember it takes time and the scales doesn’t tell you everything. You might be doin. All these exercises and not losing weight but you might be burning fat and putting on mass. You got this!
