Failed “BBL”
Before deciding to go through with the surgery, i did a ton of research and looked a multiple surgeons. I was gonna go to the “Land of BBL’s” (Miami), but in 2020 i decided to talk to Dr. Alfonso since he was local and had decent reviews.
Our talk went well, I explained to him exactly what I wanted and he said I was the “perfect candidate for a BBL”. I asked him how many he’d done in the past and he said he does at least 1 every month. I failed to asked for before and after pics, and I take blame for that. I told him specifically that what I cared about the most was not a bigger butt, but to get rid of the fat in my belly. He said he would “give me abs”, and ofc that got me excited. I booked my surgery.
A couple of weeks before surgery I decided to add liposuction to my arms and inner thighs, which added $4K to my bill. Again, what I cared about the most was finally getting rid of the stubborn belly I struggled with at the gym.
Over the year I worked 3 jobs to save up for this surgery. THREE JOBS. I was excited and couldn’t wait for my new body. I measured my body to know how I started and planned on measuring again after I was fully recovered. I took “before” pictures so I could compare later on.
May 2021 - The day of the surgery went well. As he was marking my body up, I reiteraited to him that What I cared about the most was getting rid of the fat in my belly, my arms and my inner thighs.
Three months went by and I started to see no difference in my belly, arms, or thighs. I wore my compression garmet as directed and even bought better ones. Oh, the “compression garmet" i was given by them was literal bandage around my whole arms, and a larger one for my belly. I bought a faja on amazon that worked a lot better.
Anyways, I measured myself again and the numbers were the same. I was shocked/confused. I took before and after pictures and I didn’t see much difference, I assumed i was still swollen. I went to see the Dr. and he said that I should wait 6 months to see final results and that I would be good. he did admit that there was a "fat donut" on my belly that he coudlve gotten rid of, but ofc he came up with a ton of other excuses!
Welllll, I’m at 7 months and i look and measure exactly the same. My butt is a LITTLE bigger, but my arms, belly, and thighs are the exact same. I am so disappointed with this surgery. To work 3 jobs for a year to save up and have no results?! I should’ve gone to Miami. I don’t believe for a second that he does 1 BBL a month, I was probably his first.
Long story short, dont get a BBL or liposuction in Michigan :|
