I found Dr. De La Paz on Instagram @tjbbl his results are amazing, along with a reasonable price. But, I can’t find him here on RealSelf. Therefore, I haven’t read any reviews from his past patients. Has anyone had surgery with him? Some info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! :)

Hello my friend and I both had surgery with him this past April..he is great and skilled at what he does but the aftercare ow up is t the best but you can only expect so much when you get procedures done in other countries, thankfully we live In san Diego and going back and forth is easy..I'm really happy with both our results and would go back because I did feel very well taken care of while I was there and not to mention the results are amazing and they are aggressive with thier lipo vs here in the us where results ca.n be minimal..I had a mommy makeover and I'm very happy with my results, this isnt my first procedure and I feel that he does do excellent work..good luck

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a Level 2 Travel Alert, Practice Enhanced Precautions, for Americans visiting Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. According to the CDC, some Americans returning from Tijuana were diagnosed with infections caused by an antibiotic-resistant form of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria.

Drug-resistant Pseudomonas bacteria do not respond to most commonly available antibiotics, says the CDC.

All of the travelers with this particular infection had an invasive medical procedure performed in Tijuana. Most, but not all of these Americans had weight-loss surgery.

Remember, some surgeons may falsely claim to have the AMCPER accreditation. If they’re not listed in the directory, they’re not certified.
How do I find a safe plastic surgeon in Mexico?
Above all, the most important certification you should look for is from AMCPER – the Mexican Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. Think of it as the Mexican equivalent of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
A surgeon who is AMCPER certified is required to undergo many years of education, training and practice in order to be a member. A plastic surgeon not just in name, but also in reality.
How  do I know if my surgeon is certified? The Mexican Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery has an online directory of certified surgeons. Besides the AMCPER directory, there is another certification to look out for The Baja California Association of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeons also has an online directory.
