I Did my BBL 1/26

So I wasn’t sure I wanted to share this experience with anyone but here I am. I thought maybe there is someone else like me out there looking for as much info as possible.
So I live in Florida and I was looking for a doctor to for a BBL. I was always fairly skinny but out of no where I gained about 50 pounds. I hit 30 and it just kinda snuck up on me. I am mostly bottom heavy. My arms are skinny. My breast small. However, I have love handles galore! I also have really prominent hip dips which the love handles make look even worse!! My silhouette is like multiple waves on both sides and obviously I’d prefer an hourglass figure. I looked around at many doctors and noticed they all have a certain kind of booty they like to do. So I knew I had to find a doctor that was capable of giving me the curves I wanted... but what exactly did I want? I starting looking around for inspo pix and realized what I like was a “heart shaped” booty. I learned the difference between “hips and lats”. I now know I am not a fan of Lats only booties or shelves! I found the inspo body I liked and started back looking for DR that we’re capable of giving that perfect long torso and big hips look (matching the thighs). I found Dr Dowbak and Dr fisher. I loved the big booty look dr Dowbak gave her patients! They were big (like what I want) but proportional to the thighs. Then!! I saw some work dr Fisher had done on his instagram! The perfect heart booty! And I loved how personal he was, how he interacted with patients. I was conflicted! I had to pick one. So I filled out consultation forms for both. Unique plastic surgery (fisher) called immediately! Extremely informative and amazing customer service. I didn’t hear from new life (Dowbak). I waited a few days. My friend (who’s had work done) said they were probably busy. I found Dowbak on Instagram and noticed her page being very diff from fishers. Dowbaks was covered in before and afters. Fishers had before and afters but also focused on bedside manner and care. I spoke to my friend about it and she referred to new life as a “chop shop” A place that squeezes in as many surgeries as possible leaving no time for bed side manner or proper patient care. I thought well this maybe be why they are so busy and haven’t contacted me. I put my deposit down with fisher and I felt amazing about my decision!! I told my friends and family. Really anyone who who would listen. I booked for Jan 2021!! Yay me. It was the soonest I could get. 2 weeks later new life (Dowbak) office called. They gave me a number to contact. Out of curiosity I called. I wanted to see at the very least what they were like at this point. No one answered the phone. I get a text immediately after “can I call you later”. I assumed it was a wrong number and said F-it. 1 week later the same person sends me a text I can barely read due to spelling errors to send pictures in and explaining how the surgery process works. It took 3 weeks for them contact me and I was blown away how unprofessional everything was. If this is how they were treating me now I can only imagine how they would treat someone once they got their money and they were off the table. I googled new life post op YouTube videos and found that most dowbaks patients love Dowbak (who seems like an amazing person) but aren’t a fan of the treatment by staff. This confirmed it for me and made me feel SUPER confident in choosing Dr fisher and his office. He is knowledgeable in many shapes of bodies not just one cookie cutter shape. He spends time with each patient and his staff is awesome!!! Super professional!! I can’t stress that enough. I feel like my booty is in the best hands.

Everyone who wants to know what the difference between hips and Lats. I didn’t know the difference a couple weeks ago! Hopefully this photo helps. I think they all look good! However, I like the hips and Lats combined leaning more towards hips. I feel it leaves the torso looking longer and slimmer. What do you guys think?

So I am 4 days Post Op! The day of surgery I was so nervous. Dr fisher however is hilarious and makes you feel very comfortable. I almost wanted to walk out I was so scared. He told me he’d shoot me in the buttcheek with a blowdart and drag me back in! lol Dr fishers bedside manner is just amazing and his jokes are A1. The anesthesiologist was amazing as well and very sweet. I laid down on the table and I started crying. I wasn’t scared of complications or anything. I was scared of the pain I’d like wake up to. (Surgery at 2pm) They gave me the anesthesia and it felt like Seconds I was awake in recovery. (Done at 5:45pm ). I was freezing!! You shake really bad. Teeth clinch. It doesn’t last long. Maybe 20 min or so. When I woke up I felt pain but it was NOT unbearable how I thought it would be. I was laying face up and my butt hurt. I asked to be flipped over and that helped. I had a very good surgery I think. Simply because I didn’t have a sore throat like some people complain about. I wasn’t nauseous. I didn’t bite my tongue. The anesthesiologist told me they use cameras to put the tube in your throat to prevent the sore throat and he uses something so you dont bite yourself. They also gave me something for nausea before I woke up. I woke up completely normal just feeling a bit in pain. It’s not sharp pain though. Then I was rolled out to the car. They sit you in a wheelchair and sitting on your butt does hurt a little. Feels weird too but it’s not bad. The first day I could barely walk and had to be helped. You don’t feel too much pain it’s more of feeling weak if that makes sense. I laid down and I know some people knock out but not me! lol I was up watching tv until about 8 am! I got up every two hours and walked for 15 min lol my first massage was at 1030. I was terrified! We have ALL heard about these damn massages and I was NOT with it. At all. I get there late bc we got lost. They take me to the back and start. It was painful. I had to ask her to stop a couple times. It was more of her being rough I think. She didn’t ease into it. It was more of just finger stabbing. How unique does it, you don’t know who you will get for massages. It’s rotated. I did NOT want this lady again lol The next day I was walking more. I walked a lot. No bowl movements yet. I think I peed maybe. Peeing is very hard in the faja. So I took a plastic cup, poked a hole in the bottom and put it through the bottom of the faja. No accidents peeing. Worked great. Anyways I went in to see Karen and she was amazing. I fall asleep now during massages. She knows you are scared so she starts off rubbing your neck and relaxing you. Then by the time she gets to the hard stuff you don’t even feel it really. I have been requesting her EVERY SINGLE TIME! You feel so much better after the massages. Cause when I tell you you will be stiff after surgery!! You are like a statue. Took me 3 days to bend over. After the massages you loosen up. Walking helps too. When you wake up you feel stiff. Give yourself a second to stand and walk. Once you start moving around things get a little better. Now Don’t judge me y’all because I’m keeping it 100 over here. I know this vlog is all over the place but it’s the truth! I shit myself twice! Some people get constipated.. not me. Those antibiotics gave me explosive diarrhea. After the second massage that’s when they give you all the padding in your faja. When I tell you, you ain’t got time for that shit. You really don’t! There is no way in hell I was going to make it to that bathroom with all this shit on. Your butt cheeks are swollen and also super tight together. So wiping is weird. I now have developed a method on pooping. Now my doctor says you can sit to shit. I have not. What I do is I get a bag or a little trash can with a bag. I put it in the tub and I sit on the edge of the tub so the pressure is on my thighs and not my butt. It feels better and I’m not risking killing any of these fat cells! Toss the bag and your done. Now the next day isn’t much different but it gets better everyday. You feel more loose everyday. This damn drain is annoying! That’s the only issue. It stings but it’s not bad. Just annoying. It’s always coming unhooked. Leaking on shit. It’s just a pain in the ass. Oh also I’m not taking any pain meds. I stopped yesterday. I took them every 4 hours the first two days with arnica. You’ll need them every 4 hours the first two days! Arnica is a must!!!! . After that just arnica and Tylenol. Now just arnica. I just take a Tylenol before the massage. I will continue to keep everyone updated. Sorry this blog entry is all over the place. I was just writing things as I remembered them. First 24 hours are a bit blurry. I’ll continue to post and I’ll be posting pictures with details soon including fat removed and my measurements. I just wanted to give you all the tea first.
