Pre-Op visit at New Life

I flew out to meet Dr. Dowbak and complete my pre-op visit on Monday. I waited all day to see the Dr., I got my prescriptions and signed my consent forms. New Life was super busy with all types of patients waiting together. There were women waiting for pre-op appointments, women there for massages and pot-op appointments. Families waiting on patients getting SX. Nurses in scrubs & operating gowns were in & out of the waiting area. One had fluid on her operating gown. Very unorganized. Dr. Dowbak was the best part of the visit. She is super sweet & super smart. I felt very comfortable talking to her. Almost all of the front office staff have had SX, their asses looked heavy & hard. Pictures uploaded. Prayers for a successful SX on 10/20.

Headed to Miami to meet Dr Dowbak

Just an update, I’ve scheduled an in-person consultation with Dr Dowbak for 10/1 to meet her, and pay my full balance. I’m flying in on 9/30 & back out on 10/2. I also plan to look at the local extended stay hotels & recovery homes to figure out where I want to recover. I’ll keep you all posted. This week, I will begin ordering recovery items off Amazon & will post pics along the way. SX date is 10/20...I’m feeling anxious...positive vibes only!

So I am ready to pay in full for my SX & got approved for credit through Alphaeon. I reach out the surgery coordinator who emails me back that the price quoted to me has a $500 discount applied for paying cash. This was not mentioned in any email, text, receipt or communication I ever received. So beware of this ladies & ask about it up front.

Yes Elena is my coordinator and she tends to lie to get extra money. Call her bluff. She'll get over however she can. Also my date is the 18th with Dowbak! I guess I should change my profile name? Lol

Yeah, she can’t show me anything in writing about this cash discount & even my offer email & contract do not mention it. I told her I’m paying the amount in my contract & please let me know how to proceed & haven’t heard back yet. Smh...& yes, how about “DowbakDoll2B” lol

If you pay using any other method besides cash, they will try to increase the cost by stating the quote they gave you was based on cash payment. Refuse to pay the extra unless they can prove they communicated this to you.

Yes Elena don’t give full details when she’s talking to you. She have been giving me the run around which caused me to not even want to go through them.

Im having my surgery in Feb 2019 and trust me I know what you mean, elan got mad when I asked do they double book I only text when I am making a payment. I do my own research.
