BBL With Dr. Ron Hazani in Beverly Hills, CA

ORIGINAL POST

Around the corner!

$8,900
Hey everyone! I have been a long time lurker and will be writing my first review. I decided to have my BBL Sx with Dr. Hazani (Beverly Hills, CA) on 1/30/2018, and I want to share my story with everyone!
CONSULTATION:
I have only spoke with him once; via virtual consultation (he asked to send several photos to him ahead of time and to set up an appointment for the virtual consultation over the phone. During this virtual consulting, he assesses whether I am a good candidate for the surgery, goes over procedure and what to expect, and he offered time to go over my questions at the end of our meeting. At the end of our call, he spent extra time and shared a few photos of his colleagues’ work (stomach lipo) to point out the cobble stone texture to be aware of. He was patient and kind (and I read/saw reviews of his previous patients - so I liked his style), his ‘going the extra mile’ characteristic was the pivotal moment I knew that I wanted him as my surgeon!
The following things are included in the cost that was quoted to me:
Lipo (front/abs, back, sides) operating room, anesthesia, surgeon fee, labs, postoperative binder, a stage 2 garment, a BBL pillow, and follow-up appointments. I plan on getting additional areas Lipo’d (arms and inner thighs), so the cost will increase.
PREPPING:
I still need to take my blood test to get cleared for the surgery. I was previously on ketogenic diet and came off of it for 3 months. I recently went back on it (~a week), I’m curious how that will affect my blood test and my surgery. Anyone been tested and had surgery while on keto?
Once I paid for my $500 deposit, Gary (one of his staff) sent me a few documents regarding pre and post instructions. I have been shopping for everything; I will be leaving for my vacation at the end of this week, so I need to get everything I can done! Upon my return, I have a few days to get everything in order for my surgery on 1/30!
My stats for reference:
-height: 5’4”
-weight: 142lbs
I’ll keep everyone updated!

Thanks for the good wishes!

Sx date on 1/30/18.

He quoted me 7,900. This price includes: back, abs, and flanks (which are sides/‘muffin top’, haha). Additional fee for other areas

Rest assured you are in good hands. Dr. Hazani was my surgeon for my BBL. I will be 6 weeks post op in a couple days. It has been life changing for me. He did a wonderful job. I will warn you that if you plan on getting lipo in additional areas, this will take from the 5,000cc legal limit that can be extracted during one outpatient visit. Good Luck with everything!

best wishes to you I’m 3 days post op now here HNY

Hi!! I love your results! Can I ask what he meant by cobblestone texture? Does he mean the lumpiness that's common on stomaches after lipo? And I see you didn't have any lumps in the pictures! Did it heal without lumpiness?? THanks in advance!
February 20, 2018
yup! it’s the lumpiness after lipo. I do have lumps, but it’s not super visible unless you actually touch/massage it. it can take several months for you to heal and have the lumps eventually disappear. hopefully that helps answers your Q!

Supplies Bought (need input on other supplies needed!)

middtown
PROVIDED WITH Sx:
- postoperative binder
- stage 2 garment
- BBL pillow

To supplement supplies for the Sx that are not provided by Dr. Hazani/my surgery, I have also bought the following (also in photo attached):
- ab pads
- ab board
- back board
- urine device
- Tylenol
- arnica tablets
- bromelain
- not pictured, but also bought: shower curtain liner so I can lay down in bed and won’t get it stained/dirty.

ON MY TO-DO/PURCHASE LIST:
- floaty (so I can sit up instead of laying down the whole time)
- cami tanks (heard you get itchy, and this will help subside the itchiness)
- do the arnica cream/gel work? And should I purchase that, too?
- pet training/pee pads (some girls have been saying it’s a cheaper alternative than chux pad)
- body garment/girdle (per instructions by surgeon and to be worn when fluid stops egressing from incisions). I will ask Dr. Hazani which one he recommends that’s tailored to my body

Is there anything else I may need?

—————

I’ve been reading some girls take bromelain and arnica prior to surgery to help with recovery; however, Dr. Hazani recommends to stop all herb/supplements a week prior to Sx. I’m curious why the difference, perhaps Dr. Hazani takes a more conservative approach (which I don’t mind! After all, it’s my health, and more importantly, my life on the line).

Supplies (photo), Lab/Blood Test Results, Ketogenic diet

Just realized RealSelf doesn’t allow you to edit posted post/review, so attaching the photo of my supplies from last post!

Also, got my results back from the lab/blood test, and I’m good to go for surgery!

I’ve been on a ketogenic diet and although have many benefits to it, I haven’t had much luck finding results with people that have underwent BBL while on keto/Atkins diet. But have found success with people that had surgery (non-plastic surgery like hip replacement, ab surgery, and knee replacement.. I also found someone that had breast augmentation while on keto). Either nothing wrong, or recovery outcomes were above average (someone mentioned it lowered their inflammation issues and healed faster than expected, enough that my doctor noticed it).
