Office review: surgery canceled supposedly due to my medical history

My surgery was cancelled by Mia Aesthetics Chicago after paying in full, submitting their medical questionnaire, submitting excellent labs and an approved medical clearance from my PCP...supposedly due to my "medical history". I was previously approved and had a successful cosmetic procedure completed in Chicago by a reputable board certified surgeon approximately 6 months ago, therefore I'm uncertain as to why Mia Aesthetics was unable to approve me. They informed me that they will refund my money ($6,800) minus the booking fee ($600). All of my money should be refunded INCLUDING the booking fee. I'm beginning to believe that they are in the business of profiting on potential clients deposits (booking fees). I can't wait to see how long it takes for them to refund my money; seriously thinking that this will be a problem also.

How long did it take for them to refund your money? I had worked done, but was due a refund of about 3,000 due to changes. It’s been a week so far and she only told me it usually doesn’t take long to refund.
I spoke to their lawyer and asked them to expedite my refund. I received a partial refund within 48 hours.

I’m going trough similar issue except they are stating that it was me who cancelled so therefore I was only granted partial refund. But , they did a huge mistake by clearing me and the day of surgery they realized they made a mistake and shouldn’t have been cleared so anesthesiologist caught the mistake and cancelled my surgery. Due to their mistake I don’t trust nor feel safe and should be entitled to a full refund. What could I do. Did you have any luck getting a full refund?
