Before pics as requested
I've added before pics for you to compare. Please note that I am stating my experience exactly the way it happened. I explained to Dr Aslani what I wasn't happy with and wanted more roundness and projection. He said I now have great shape yes that is true but if I wanted just a great shape I would have just had lipo and done it in the UK for a fraction of the price.
Botched by Aslani! Marbella
I thought I should post my experience on here as I made my decision based on this site and so I should at least let you all know about my experience.
I'm very very disappointed with the outcome of my BBL. Dr Aslani is arrogant and egotistical and cannot take any criticism even if its blatantly starring him in the face. After researching surgeons for nearly two years for a BBL I decided on Dr Aslani as I’m from the UK I wanted to stay as near as possible to home. I had intended to go to the DR but heard too many horror stories and a death last year.
My initial experience with Cirumed was great. Jenny my patient coordinator was very helpful. My consultation with Dr Aslani was also good although he asked me to let him decide the best way to do my BBL as I had sent him wish pics. I thought as he is the expert to let him decide. Unfortunately 4 months post op I now have uneven buttocks and hips and Aslani says there is nothing he can do (without extra payment of course) to make it right.
My surgery was booked for April 17th and I went straight to the clinic from the airport. I had my photos taken and then to a room where a nurse came in and inserted the needle onto my hand. I waited for about an hour and a half before I was escorted into the room for surgery. Dr Aslani came in marked me and then went to mark up my arms I said I enquiries about arms but decided against it. Clearly this information had not been updated. It was at this point that my experience started to go down hill.
I woke up on my front in pain and at an uncomfortable angle. The front of the bed was raised higher than the rest of the bed putting a lot of pressure on my lower back. I called the nurse who came after about 5 minutes and she seemed very young, lovely but young and a bit out of her depth. I told her I needed pain relief and she went away and came back with a syringe she then attempted to administer through the needle on my hand. This caused me great pain and got worse every time she tried so eventually she stopped trying and went away and came back with painkiller that she objects in my arm. This worked well and I was able to fall back asleep. I woke up at about 11.30 absolutely starving I hadn’t eaten for 24 hours and no one had offered me anything to eat. I called for the nurse and told her I was really hungry she told me the kitchen was closed but she will se what she could get for me. She came back with a ham and cheese toasted sandwich and a carton of orange juice and left me! I had to pull myself up and drag the table towards me to reach the food. I felt really upset about this as I expected a bit more attention after such a major surgery. She didn’t stay to see if I would be fine after eating I could easily have thrown up luckily I didn’t and downed the food quickly I was so hungry. Once done I needed to get up badly my back was in agony I called the nurse again and this time she didn’t come within 15 minutes I kept pressing the buzzer eventually she came and apologized that she was on her own! On her own at night with several patients that’s disgusting anything could have happened. I told her I had to get up and also that it’s important for me to get up and walk after the procedure I had. She then started to panic and said she cannot help me up on her own she needed a colleague in case I faint or something. I asked what time a colleague would be here she said 8am!! At this point it was 1am and I said no way can I wait for 7 hours in such discomfort and of age doesn’t help me then I’ll get up myself. She said no and actually put the bed barriers up to stop me from getting up and off the bed then she left! I thought this was outrageous however I still managed to get myself up as I had to I was so uncomfortable. I got up and felt dizzy so I leant against the bed. I was dripping blood everywhere but I managed to walk to the toilet have a wee and make my way back to my bed lying in blood. At around 9 a nurse came in and quickly got me up and into the shower and that’s when Aslani came in and inspected his work taking through the changes of my body. At his point I was pleased with how it all looked but was aware there was a lot of swelling. The nurse then put me in a compression garment and stockings I got dressed and made my way out of the clinic to the waiting transport. I saw Dr Aslani waved at him and thanked him again not knowing then that I wouldn’t see him again. No post op appointment for me!
I left to go home on the 25th and once home I stuck to the instructions strictly. Around 3 weeks post I notice the left butt cheek deflating a lot. I checked the mirror daily and was in floods of tears as my left cheek was clearly uneven and had lost a lot of volume. I sent Vicky an email and photos as attached to show how uneven it looked. She said it was early days and to wait for 3 months past. I sent 4 week post photos as requested and pointed out that not only has the left butt cheek deflated close to pre op size but the left hip is also uneven. I sent photos of me wearing knickers and a swimming costume and you can clearly see one cheek smaller than the other. I was really upset as I was going on holiday a month later and my butt looked horrible. Vicky came back to me and says that Aslani can’t see that the left cheek is smaller really? Can anyone else see it?
I went on holiday but had to wear spanx when wearing tight fitting dresses as it allowed me to plump up the left cheek to get the symmetry that I wanted.
I sent photos again 3 months post and nothing had changed I asked what suggestions Aslani had to correct the obvious deflation of the left butt cheek and the uneven hips. His reply surprised me. He accused me of dismissing and belittling his work. He then stated that one cheek was smaller before anyway (surely then as part of the BBL you correct this no?) and then mentioned that he and his team went out of their way to check the diameter of the projection as if he was doing me a big favour! I spent £7300 on this surgery I have post op appointments included which he didn’t bother to stick around for. Nobody could tell me how many incisions I had so that I could treat them when I returned home I had no post op feedback at all. He did clearly admit that one cheek was smaller than the other and his recommendation was to lipo the other cheek to match the other. This is ridiculous as the deflated cheek was near to pre op why would this be a satisfactory option? Another option available to me was to have a tummy tuck and then at the same time he could graft more fat into the left cheek and hip to even them out at the price of 8000 euros. First of all, I am not happy with my first procedure so why would I agree to another procedure and pay even more money not knowing if I would get the results I’m looking for. Furthermore when I was first enquiring they told me you can’t have a TT and BBL at the same time as I wouldn’t have a recovery position so why has this changed now? Also the pain from a TT would mean I would have to lie on my back would this not then affect the BBL procedure?
I have now enquired with another surgeon for a revision. When he saw my 3 month post op photos he was very surprised. He noted only projection at the top of the buttocks, clearly hips are uneven and that the left cheek was notably smaller. Even if it was smaller before the procedure it stands out even more now due to the added fat. He also asked noted the bulge on my waist which I noticed after week 3 but thought this might go down but it hasn't and also he burned my waist when doing the lipo but this didn't really bother me as my concern was the left butt cheek. He asked who the surgeon was and he just came back and said some surgeons shouldn't be allowed to practice "too showy" and not enough focus on their work! I totally agree now as I felt that once my money was taken I was just another body rushed in and rushed out. No follow up appointment, left with an inexperienced nurse and then told to be grateful for an uneven butt and hips or pay for another procedure and get it revised at the same time. If you are considering surgery with this doctor I would suggest you go elsewhere and check that they are board certified. Unfortunately now I have to pay for a revision but I've thoroughly checked out my new surgeon and will post photos up once I've had it done so you can see the difference. Fingers crossed all goes well second time around.
