Recovery is slow but steady. I'll say this surgery is definitly not as easy or instantly gratifying as a boob job, lol. Bruising is subsiding at this point. During a check Dr. Parikh discovered my tummy had developed a seroma. Which is a collection of fluid that builds up under the surface of your skin. Seromas may develop after a surgical procedure, most often at the site of the surgical incision or where tissue was removed. It looked like a waterbed...he drained it twice. I wish I would have known to lookout for that. Anyway...here are a few more less scary pictures. Things are looking much better. The marker is still hanging in there though!

Post surgery update.
Had surgery early morning on Friday. Team was ready and waiting my arrival at the surgery center which is very understated...a far cry from a lush office atmosphere...which is fine keep costs low for the client. I see this as a positive. I don't need fancy stuff on the walls when I'm unconscious on a gurney.
I went in and they did the usual pre- surgery stuff...change into a town, meet the anasyiologist, go over allergies, weight, etc. I do have one allergy, which I learned more about during this surgery...eyelash glue. Side note if you've had an allergic reaction to eyelash glue this is a similar product as to what is on tge pads that are placed on your eyes to protect them during a procedure. Tell them to use sonething without glue. I had a reaction to the glue on the pads. Not a big deal but was just annoying to have my face and eyes swollen too.
Ok, so the procedure ...happened. I remember just waking up dressed and being piled into our car. ( backseat...yes i layed down) car ride was awful. I had to per and was just plain groggy.
I slept on and off taking way more Colace than prescribed. ( I know my body and things in that department get very backed up), I wanted to stay ahead of it all. This proved to be a good plan.
As far as looking at my body...i was scared. I still am. I have not done much peeking. I feel like all of my is bruised or swollen in some way. Honestly hoping it all heals!
I had a bit if pain putting some socks on so doc sent me to the ER to get a precautionary ultrasound of my leg to make sure there are no clots. There weren't. This was day 1. I saw the doc that morning a little ahead of schedule bc he was going out of town. But we have a medical app we have been communicating through So i could still text him or call him if needed. Which did...day 2 the swollen eyes were worse! I was worried my airway might shut down. I texted him and he got back to me quickly...and explained it was more likely exhastetbated by laying on my face. Makes sense.
I showered and had my first #2 since surgery. Taking off the garment took all my strength. Once off ( 20 minutes later) I felt loose and queezy. The shower felt good but my skin felt ,"not my own" "deadman's finger". I refused to look at my body. I had washed the compression garment quickly in the sink and threw it in the dyer before my shower. On the way out to get it my 10 yo was with me. She asked if I was ok and i realized I wasn't. I told her to get her dad and i quickly got low to the floor and kneeled resting my head in the couch. I fainted. Not my first faint...so I knew what to do, which is incredibly important. If you feel weird, vision changes and you feel sweaty and cold, get down low. Call for help. The fainting part isn't scary, but it will scare everyone around you. Also you need to plan your landing. Lol
So after that I have just been resting and walking around my house to stay mobile. I feel about 15% better than day one

Hey there any updates . How are you feeling ? How do your results look now . Do you mind sharing more pictures . My pre op is Jan 31. M 25 days out and getting more nervous lol .
How was your surgery? I'm considering having mine done with him as well and I'm so nervous. I wish you the best.
Arnica gel and tablets are very good for bruising! Just don't get the gel into any open wounds or healing incisions! Everywhere else is fine.

Day of treatment
Today's the day!
Very excited and nervous too. Freshly showered with my anti bacterial surgery soap. Got the bed ready at home. But worried about the ride home...do I sit? Or break the law and lay down in back? More to follow! I will update soon!
