BEWARE! My experience has been AWFUL with both Mendieta and staff!

I am over 5 months post op from BBL surgery. The entire experience has been disgusting. I cannot grasp how this doctor still has his license. I did ALL the "homework" on making an educated decision for surgery. I have a personal good friend that went to Mendieta a little over a year prior to me and she had a good experience. I don't know what has changed so drastically. **i would add speculation here, but I am sure that is against "community guidelines" and RS will keep not allowing my post to go through. But from the time of the pre-op appointment (day before surgery) to now has been an absolute crazy [RS Bleep] show. And let's talk about complete and utter NEGLIGENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
•lost my payment•didn't collect necessary paperwork from me prior to my pre-op appointment•made me sit in office to fill out 56 page document on my phone (shady stuff!)•pre-op appointment was supposed to be 11:00am...didn't see Mendieta until 4:05pm•dr was in the room for 4 minutes with me...he was rude, cocky, uncaring, and very short with me•I should have never continued with the surgery after the way I was treated but nevertheless I traveled all the way from Indiana to Miami and didn't want to lose my money•6am surgery...was supposed to be released at 9am from post-op...didn't get to leave until 6pm...they never explained why or what was happening...they called in mobile x-ray unit to do chest x-ray on me...still do not know why•every time I would go for follow up appointment they were rude and in a hurry•post lymphatic drainage massages were done WRONG•fought to obtain medical records from the 4beauty office for THREE MONTHS!!NEGLIGENCE •5 months post op and I am still in really bad shape•I potentially have a rare flesh eating bacteria (Atypical Mycobacterium) that I am going to Mayo Clinic to diagnose and figure out how to treat...it is from surgery...there has been an outbreak in Miami of this and no one is talking about it NEGLIGENCE •never saw Mendieta since before surgery...didn't check up on me whenever something in post op was clearly wrong...never saw or heard from him again WOW! NEGLIGENCE •I have visited two different plastic surgeons (because I obviously would NEVER return to Mendieta) they have both said that the BBL procedure should have never been performed on me NEGLIGENCE!!!!! •nurses are less than helpful...they don't care...•I have had to see a mental health therapist for the FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE due to this terrible nightmare of a journey that is actually just beginning (atypical mycobacterium is no damn joke) •the office is extremely busy...you will not be made to feel important AT ALL. YOU ARE PUTTING YOUR LIFE IN THEIR HANDS. Remember that!
