5 weeks post op

WORTH IT$6,000
Not a whole lot has changed. Just decrease in swelling and a lot of softening to my butt. When I look naked I feel like it’s gone down a lot, but then in clothes it is perfect! I took some up close pictures so you can see the definition (I’m not flexing at all!) and see my scars. My lipo scars will end up being very faint, it’s the drain scar that sucks. I’ve been using bio oil on it everyday, hopefully that helps. I’ve been going without my faja during the day and only wearing it at night. It definitely helps wearing it. I wake up to my skin looking tight and no swelling. By the end of my work day I can feel the swelling creeping in so I put my faja on right away. I’m going without it to acclimate my skin to wearing clothing though. It’s sensitive to the touch and delicate feeling to clothing still. Couple more weeks and I can start wearing jeans, that’ll be nice considering the weather. Good thing I’m forced to stay home in sweats because of this coronavirus crisis. Lol

You look AMAZING! Thank you so much for your updates! I'm so nervous for my surgery coming up.
Thank you :) Are you going to Campos as well!?
I am! At the end of April. I just hope everything starts getting better with this whole corona virus. I would hate to postpone :'(
How exciting! You’ll be so glad you did! I know, I hope so too! My follow up was scheduled for Tuesday but had to cancel of course. I didn’t really need it anyway, thankfully. Dr Campos is the best!
I’m scheduled with Campos as well. Beginning of May. Praying we can still have our surgery!! Which recovery home are you planning to stay at?

Aww, that’s great, so happy to hear! You’ll be so happy you did it. He’s the best. I hope you can too by May!!!
Any advice on trying to sleep on stomach? I’m a side sleeper so this is going to be difficult
Agreed. Sometimes I had to sleep with a boppy pillow (like a doughnut pillow but open on one side, like a croissant) under my boobs and shoulders to alleviate some pressure off my stomach a little. I slept with my right knee up a little so I was slightly angled to take pressure off my drain site while I had it in too. I have to be honest, I’m a stomach sleeper and even I am dying to be able to sleep on my back or side soon. It gets old, but worth it!
Many Pillows help, it’s a matter of funding your position.
Thank you

Reduced swelling and body is softening!

I am a little over 3 weeks post op now. Where I live is somewhat of a vacation/resort area so finding a post op massage is impossible. Everything is luxury and spa like. Therefore I have been doing my own massages, which is helping but definitely nothing like the real deal. I went to Miami 3 weeks post op, 6 hour flight. Awful! I had to constantly stand up and walk around. The bbl pillow is great if you can lean forward so it’s perfect for when I’m working (went back to work at 10 days post op) but vertical weight or leaning back kills your thighs and low back. I still have very little strength in my low back, glutes and groin. Still slow to bend down and almost impossible to tie my shoes lol. I had a massage in Miami, it was amazing. Ultrasound, suction cup fluid movement and lymphatic massage. This weekend I am driving 3 hours to go to a post op spa that I found on Dr Campos’ IG. I’m really looking forward to it. If you only have access to basic lymphatic massages, then just do them yourself and save money. If you have access to actual “post op lipo massages” do them!
The last 2 days I have been itching really badly. My skin felt like a bad sunburn. It’s normal for lipo to cause burning and itching sensations but this felt different. I stopped using the foam that Dr Campos gave me. It has a silicone backing. I switched to my 360 lipo foams from amazon which aren’t typically used until week 5. So far it’s helping tremendously! No more itching. I am finally on my tightest clasps of my faja since my swelling is reduced. My butt seems like it’s gone down just slightly, but not necessarily a big size difference, it’s just softened. Which I’m happy about!

Ab and foam pictures

I tried to take step by step pictures of my foam/faja dressing. The imprints from the foams for my “6 pack” won’t stay like that Dr Campos says. It’s only to apply the pressure heavier in the areas he etched.
Waiting for my plane right now. TSA was easy, I can walk totally normal. I just let them know as soon as I placed my items to go through the scanner that I just had surgery and have a drain. They acted like they see see this all the time, and I’m sure they do lol. They just said I would need an additional pat down. No big deal. The agent even let me slide with my 5oz lipo gel in my carry on because I told him I needed it to tighten my skin and repair the bruising and tissue. He asked if he could have some for his body too then lol.
I’m SO excited to get home. I haven’t seen my step son and boyfriend in 8 days! It’s definitely worth it, but hard to do to come alone. My 3rd and final roommate at Cocoon left this morning for her surgery with Dr Campos. She is 22 and came all the way from New York by herself because Campos is THE BEST!

Thanks again for continuing to post even post Surgery. How many massages do you need to have in Mexico? Just trying to figure out how long I should plan on staying out there.
My pleasure :) If you go with Campos, the 5 required massages are included in your price quote. I had my surgery Monday, first second third and fourth massages Wednesday through Saturday. His med spa and office are closed Sunday, so my final massage was Monday morning and then followed with my post op appointment with the doctor. I would stay atleast 7 days so you can see him post op. The drain isn’t removed until roughly 10 days so unless you don’t mind flying home with it and removing yourself, you’ll need to stay 10 days.
I just deposit for a date but I'm scare !! How far is cacoon to his office
Yayyy!!! Best decision! Cocoon is about 7 miles/15 minutes from his office. They do all your transportation so it’s really no biggie. You don’t really want to stay closer to the downtown medical area, it’s too busy and loud. Also, Cocoon is booked up 2 months in advance so I would contact them ASAP for a spot and then try to coordinate your surgery with that.
Awesome!!! I didn't get any lipo foams for my stomach because of my TT. I wish I did!! But I know too much pressure can hurt the healing process on TT's. Isn't it weird when there's a gap in the foams and your skin is yellowish and numb?? I'm 18 days post op and my lipo areas are getting sore again! Hope you can take your drain out soon! It's awesome :) you look great!! Isn't it wonderful to be home?!?!
Omg, being home is sooo great!! Other than my drain, I feel completely back to normal as far as my activity. Just a little slower to bend down lol. I’m really hoping by tomorrow night or Thursday morning I can remove it! The weirdest thing for me so far is the sharp zaps of pain you get. Dr Campos said it’s because there is nerve damage that happens in the lipo process, so the shock is your nerve reconnecting and it sends a little electrical shock feeling. Now since knowing that, I oddly like when it happens because I know my nerves and feeling are coming back!!!
Yes I get that too!! Sometimes I feel stabbed and yell "OWWW!!" Lol but yeah it is nice!! Means we're healing, yay! Let drain didn't hurt when I removed it, my husband cut the stitch then I slooooowly started pulling. Couldn't even feel it! Hope it goes the same for you!
Just did it! I couldn’t wait another day, I was miserable with the drain. Same thing, had my boyfriend snip the stitches and then I slowly pulled out the 5-10 inches of tubing, ugh. Felt fine, just weird to see. How long did it take your entry wound to heal? Did you just tape gauze on it and change often?
