BBL scheduled for 8/22/17

I've been on RealSelf for years now. Always wanted a BBL but never thought I would actually be going through with it. I've had a handful of friends who have gotten cosmetic procedures over the years and love their results. I suppose that made the whole idea of undergoing a procedure myself less intimidating. Finding a surgeon who I felt comfortable with was #1. Biggest fear; ending up with a result that leaves me with less confidence than I currently have. I love my body, I only want to refine what I already have. I gain my fat primarily in my midsection. My thighs are second. After reading all the reviews in the world (ok, maybe just Houston) I settled on a couple of surgeons for consultations. Ultimately decided to go with Dr. Rolando Morales. The reviews led me to the consultation. My brief experience with Linda (Pt coordinator) and Dr. Morales is what had me comfortable enough to schedule my surgery that same day. With any elective procedure you're taking a risk. I'm not looking to have the silhouette of Kim K but instead want my shape to be more proportionate. Super nervous. Hoping to love my results. Any advice is welcomed.

A couple before pictures ...

Lots of belly fat. . . Not sure how much of this is going to be gone. I don't want to get too excited and end up disappointed with results. ????????

First update post op

Hi everybody. I had my procedure earlier 'this afternoon around 2pm. Finally feeling okay tot he point where I can stand without nausea or dizziness.
So it's off, let me talk about my experience at the surgery center. Everything was so professional. From the waiting room to the anesthesiologist coming in to give me the run down of would be happening once I went back tot the Or. nurses, Dr. M and everyone in between was courteous and sweet.
Fiancé went with me and is my support person. We decided to rent a nice hotel room in eternal the surgery center and other office for convenience. Didn't want a long car ride in the event something happened - I also have post op appt tomorrow afternoon. So I haven't double beds - which helps with sleeping since he's here as well, and Kitchenette so we don't have to rely on fast food.
After the init questioning and blood pressure/ pregnancy test, I was taken back to the OR. At this point it got real. Looking around the room and seeing the table I would be on was a subtle shock. Like, wow I'm really going to do this. Nurse scrubbed me down with a warm sterile solution and I was place on the table on my back. That's when I fell asleep.
Next memory was waking up in the recovery room. Anesthesia had me shaking hard. For sake of short post I'll be writing another after his with my experience leaving the surgery center.

Overall rating

BBL scheduled for later this month. I felt extremely nervous coming in for consultation. Was put at ease by how sweet and understanding Linda was. Dr.Morales seems like he really cares about his work and took the time to explain the in and outs of the procedure as well as the realistic outcomes. I felt confident walking out of the office knowing I wanted to move forward.
