8dpo pics
A lot of swelling still. He carved out the top of my butt/low back to make it look bigger. I can tell a better difference in person. The biggest difference is in the sides of my butt, seen best at the 45 degree angle. I'll try to get a pic of it later.
One thing I don't like is how I don't have a noticeable gold on the bottom. I have an incision at the bottom of each cheek, so I'm hoping I a. Just swollen and it will eventually go down and give me a better crease. ????

1 week post op appointment
I went for my post op appointment at 8 dpo. Stitches were removed and everything looks good so far. The doc said I was still super swollen, which I can tell. Lol. He also said to stop wearing my compression garment, which goes against everything I've ever read. I was super nervous at first, but honestly my swelling hasn't gotten any worse without it and I adjusted really quickly. I'm 13 dpo now and feel great. My first night back at work went great and my pain is gone, except for the sensitivity after lying still for a long period.
It won't let me upload pics for some reason, but I'll try again later.

Post op days 1 & 2
Immediately after surgery, my pain was pretty bad...around an 8. After my pain med kicked in, I slept all the way home and the rest of the night. I got up every 2 hours to pee, which is great meaning my body was peeing out some of my swelling. Day 1 post op I slept a lot of the day and took my pain med every 6 or so hours. I walked funny bc my knees hurt to bend. Lol. I took a shower and had to wait for my faja to get washed
Once I was able to put it back on, it felt so nice being compressed again. My doc put a stitch in all of my incisions except my knees. So that's where I drained a lot of my fluid out. It was easier to keep the mess contained, so I am happy with that choice. Day 2 I was up moving better, but still slow. I sat up on the bbl pillow for a couple mins, which was nice to give my belly and neck a break from laying down. Pain has been well controlled and overall satisfied so far.
Doc said he took about 2500 mls out, which was more than he expected, and was only able to put 450 mls in each cheek. My butt is pretty tight, so idk if it couldn't hold anymore or what. I'll ask next Tuesday during my post op appt.
So far, I like it. I know its swollen and it's gonna shrink, so I'm just hoping I don't lose too much. I think he gave a great shape, so I think that'll make a huge difference even if I lose a lot of it.
My sister did dry brushing and a lymphatic drainage massage on day 2... it felt soooo good. More pics of my butt to come.

Did the massage really feel soooo good? Or was that sarcasm? I heard they hurt and I'm super nervous cause I have a BBL coming up in April
It wasn't sarcasm. Lol. She explained how the lymphatic system is superficial and massaging too hard can actually do the opposite of what we're trying to achieve by doing the lymphatic massages. The point is to get the fluid flowing, not to massage our muscles, so the massage was gentle. I definitely felt it bc my skin is super sensitive right now and I was really bruised at first, but it was never pain. Good luck with your BBL and recovery.
