Bbl with Dr Mendieta booked for next month in Miami!!!

WORTH IT$10,000
I have been doing tons of research. I work in fashion and asked the guidance of endless friends who have chosen surgeons and really none were really thrilled with their experiences although results were very good (not excellent). I have wanted to do a bbl for about ten years now. I’m absolutely terrified and have zero pain tolerance hence why I waited a decade.
I did my FaceTime interview today which went ok. My pre op appt is next week which I will fly in just for one day to meet with him and ask all my questions I forgot to ask today. I feel like a surgery can’t be planned properly on just FaceTime and pictures. Although this one day trip is costing me close to $1000 it gives me peace of mind so its worth it. My moms coming with me and we are going to check out the area and get familiar with the hotel, stores, hospital, supermarket etc. I plan on staying in Miami for two weeks after my surgery to heal near the doctor. I will write another post after the appt to give you more info and details.
Can anyone tell me what meds or vitamins they took for the days leading up to their surgery?
My next review will be on my pre op experience and in person meeting with him.

Hi there, what do you do? I am a model and looking to get a BBL, that’s why I ask.

Hi! I just got back from Miami last night . I went to see him and visit his team in the Miami office as I didn’t feel the FaceTime consult was sufficient. I’m doing a bbl and ab etching on April 13th. I’ll be following his post op care instructions in Miami until April 26th.

Hi all! I flew to Miami from NYC for the day and met with dr Mendieta. My appointment was for 2:45pm and I got a call at around 12:45 saying the office overbooked him and he had 50 consults and he needed to reschedule me from a woman I never spoke to before. After flipping out and explaining I flew in and spent over $1000 for this appointment and texting my coordinators I received a call back saying I could come in. Chaos in a medical office is never a good sign and my mind already started thinking the worst. I arrived to the center and it’s not exactly what I expected. The inside is much nicer than the outside. I signed in and was greeted immediately. Emily (the girl that called me and made me freak out) went above and beyond making up for it. She didn’t leave me in the wait room for more that 60 seconds. She immediately brought me into a private room to take pics and help me complete paperwork and answer questions . My coordinator Marisol (the woman who initiated contact with me via social media) was also there and greeted me promptly. I probably waited in that room for 15 mins and the doctor came and saw me. I’ll just say....he’s not a man of many words. He comes across to me as clear, composed, level headed, tenured, smart and calm. I wish he was more wordy and informative but at the end of the day I am concerned with is skill level not his communication style. He was very kind and warm so I don’t really have any complaints. I will say if you are someone who hasn’t researched, followed 100 xs pages, read reviews and used forums like this to go into this process informed and confident—he’s not the doctor for you. This office isn’t here to hold your hand and educate they seem to be higher volume and expect people to come in knowing about plastic surgery already. Not sure how I feel about this yet. I guess the results will speak for themselves. They gifted me a care bag which was so nice that contains the urinal, pads, diapers, hipiclens soap, arnica And faja. I chose to do bbl and ab etching. I didn’t do j plasma because I feel it’s too new and every staff member in his office gave me a different opinion on it. One person said it’s different for everyone you can see no impact at all, 10% difference or 70%....I can’t invest in something with such unpredictable and unstable variables. I hope opting out of jplasma was the right choice . I’m 26 with good skin and no kids so my elasticity shouldn’t be an issue. I paid $9500 for everything in his private office. His accountant came down with my name on the wrong invoice so I had to correct him. Read everything, be thorough and be clear. I read another review on here from his patient that said she printed pics for him and wrote directions. I’m going to do the same! I am staying at the mutiny hotel. It’s deff not my type of place but it’s large enough for my mom and I and has a full kitchen for a fair rate since I’m staying for two weeks. It’s less than ten mins away from his office too which helps. Now I’m researching iv therapy as I haven’t been doing a good job with vitamins or pills and I want to ensure my system is hydrated and healthy ASAP.

I just got back from flying into Miami last week. I also am working with Marisol and couldnt agree more with everything you are saying. You are spot on sister. I am doing the J Plasma as I am 38 but have no kids. I have loose skin around my belly so I think its a go for me. I'm getting the same feels that he is not very comforting but he knows his stuff and he will give you what you want so long as you are straightforward and clear. these are great reviews and feedback--thank you!

Good luck!! I hope all goes well. I am still in recovery all of these reviews I feel downplay the reality of post op care and the real journey. Be prepared for at least 3-4 tough weeks.

Well that was painfullllll! Holy cow. There wasn’t one review that prepared me for this journey. I’m low energy and tired in recovery so I’ll get to the point. I did lipo on my back and stomach and sides. Transferred the fat to my butt for bbl.
I don’t regret choosing this office or doctor Mendieta . I am grateful for his skill. He text me the day after my surgery to check on me and thank me for the flower arrangement I sent him. The office staff has ALOT of room for training and development. He’s smart, elevated, articulate and needs to be surrounded with a team that reflects the same. If I wrote some of the things the staff told me or said to eachother in my presence they would prob be fired so I’m going to omit here. At the end of the day I was taken care of and the doctor performed a great safe surgery with even, smooth, clean, safe results . No bruising no burns no infections (yet) thankfully. I will say my results are very subtle. I wanted more
Of a vixen look but I got a subtle hourglass instead. I gave the doctor a written overview with pics prior to surgery. This entire office operates in fast forward mode. EVERYTHING is rushed. I woke up from anesthesia with three girls next to me. Not sure how they managed that with one surgeon. If you want to be hand held and really form dialogue with the staff and doctor this is not the office for you. If your confident with your research, know what you want, can speak up for yourself and have your post op care set up this is the office for you. Day 3 post op I started my
Massages with Karen and Julie from
Kg body solutions which is where the doctor sent me. They are so sweet and so kind. I got the five massage package for $600. Post op is NOT CHEAP Everytime I got a massage I felt relief like I could move. They did anything they could to make me comfortable. I stood in the mutiny hotel . Best choice! I got a very modern one bedroom with full kitchen. My mom juiced (pineapple, kale, beets, celery, vitamin pack) every two hours. I took iron 3 times per day and spaced out pain killers every 5 hours. The mutiny hotel, massage center and Mendieta office are all ten mins away from eachother. I just kneeled in Uber’s to get around. The sleeping is the worst part of this. My knees and stomach filled with fluid because of constantly sleeping on my stomach. I’m walking a lot more now. I eat every 3 hours and I eat very clean. Hygiene is so important. I shower everyday with dial soap and hibiclens. She Clorox wipers everything constantly. If you have blood or urine on your faja take it off and wash it don’t just sit with it. You need a washer dryer in your room. My mom is an angel but she has extreme attention to detail. If it weren’t for her I don’t know how I would have gotten through this. Be prepared to be at your lowest point mentally, emotionally and physically . I still have my drains in and it was the best decision to keep them In. I released soooooo much fluid that would have been inside my body otherwise. Bring a lot of loose long maxi dresses, diapers, sterile gauze, pee cup thing and a pregnancy pillow. The booty seat u shouldn’t use until at least one month. I did a vitamin c drip two days before surgery and I think it helped with recovery. I hope my booty gets bigger and waist smaller right now I’m just so swollen. I’m praying I didn’t go through all this pain for subtle results. I know a lot of girls are open to doing multiple rounds of bbl. this is the last one I will ever do. Ultimately, I am happy I chose doctor Mendieta :) thank

How many days did you leave your drains in for?
May 4, 2019
8 days I think but I went for daily lymphatic draining massages with Karen from kgbodysolutions affiliates with his office shesthe only reason I healed so nicely she’s an angel I wouldn’t havemade it without them

I cant thank you enough for you sharing--I feel I am in the same exact boat. I have surgery scheduled 5/04 and I'm honestly having severe doubts. I hear the pain is pretty bad and I'm worried my stomach will be lumpy from the lipo.
Who comes and checks on you post op? how many times do you see Dr. M after the surgery? When did you get to fly home? I'm so curious and would love your help and feedback. Thank you!

Hi I never received a notification sorry I’m just seeing this! So nobody comes to see you. You need to go into his office and ensure you stay on top of the staff so your not waiting around. I’m not going to downplay it like everyone did to me—this is painful and this is not easy. You need to be mentally prepared and emotionally strong. I don’t think I have a high physical pain tolerance but I have a strong mind and that’s the only thing that got me through. I DO NOT regret this or regret choosing him. I am so grateful I’m not dealing with the nightmares many other women have had to deal with. I stood in Miami for 12 days to recover and then I flew back to nyc. My mom stood with me. If she didn’t I don’t know how I would have functioned. I went to the office twice and both times they tried to get me to see one of his nurses instead of him. Finally on my second visit I stood my ground and demanded to see him as I refused to return to nyc without seeing him and he saw me. You must go to Karen for massages she’s affiliated with his office. I doubted her at first but she’s the only reason I healed so nicely. Try to do ten massages with her to drain out before u go home. I must have spent close to 4K so far on post op care. That’s also something else people don’t tell you about . The surgery itself is only 50% of the journey. You need all of the vitamins, shakes, creams, massages, ultrasound, cavitation, laser etc if you are someone who wants perfection. If your ok with a slight improvement and your not a perfectionist or maybe your standards aren’t too high you won’t spend as much. I’m not saying 4K is ideal for everyone but I knew I wanted perfection and I didn’t go through all of thatpain for anything less. He’s an awesome surgeon if you make yourself a memorable patient. Stand your ground, be clear and don’t doubt yourself. Just get ready for a journey.
FYI— I have a masseuse that was also really good who goes to your hotel room who is licensed for those days you just don’t want to leave your room

You look amazing can you please share a photo of your stomach

Did dr. Mendieta tell to get 1 massage a day? He told me he doesn’t require too much massages so I’m confused.
