Update

I didn’t update here after surgery but I’m 12 days post op and have been home for a week now. My recovery really wasn’t as bad as I expected. I don’t remember being in recovery at all the first thing I remmeber is being walked to the car. I was in a lot of pain and my recovery house owner gave me a juice (they call it cocktail juice) which is meant to hydrate you after surgery. It’s a combination of pineapple juice, Gatorade and some fluids similar to what you have in an IV for hydration. I drank a lot of it felt slightly nauseous but not too much then slept for a few hours at the recovery house.

When I was woke up everyone was really surprised all day that I had surgery because I was up and walking around the whole house not needing help walking or going up and down the stairs. It was pain for sure but it wasn’t nearly as brutal as I expected. Their reactions and faces when learning I just had surgery was pretty funny. The worst part is definitely getting in and out of bed, and in and out of the car.

My recovery house had a BBL lounger which was the biggest life saver. I was so much more comfortable laying on my back in the lounger than I was on my stomach. I was also walking a lot because i felt better walking than I did laying down. They regularly gave me fluids to stay hydrated, checked my vitals, and I had a button for the first 24 hours that would alert the nurses to come to my room if I needed help with something.

Using the bathroom was very strange lol the first time I went to go pee I felt the need to go pee so bad but for some reason couldn’t go. I squatted over the female urinal for maybe 10 minutes just waiting to go and I couldn’t go lol. Eventually I could just a bit and this only happened the first day. I hated using the urinal and eventually would just use the bathroom sitting on my thighs leaning forward.

I had a post op appointment the next day and was cleared to have massages and to shower. My first shower was amazing I didn’t want to get out. My first massage was painful but I didn’t scream or moan like I would hear some girls doing. It was probably an 8 out of 10 for pain. They honestly got more painful for me over the next few days and maybe because my feeling was returning more.

I was supposed to get my drain out the day before I left on the Monday (I had surgery on Thursday and was leaving Tuesday at 5:30am ) but because I was still draining Dr Blinski wouldn’t take it out. Which was a bummer because I hated having it attached to me everywhere lol and didn’t want to fly with it but it was understandable. He told me to have a doctor or nurse take it out when I got home and was no longer draining.

Flying home for me was rough. I had a 3 hour flight, an hour and a half layover, and a 4 hour flight. Because my first flight was at 5:30 AM I wasn’t hungry and didn’t think to eat anything (bad idea) about 3/4 through my flight I got really dizzy from the combination of being in a really tight faja and having not ate anything. I almost fainted and it was pretty scary. But because the flight was soon landing I was able to relax for a bit, drink a lot of water, and was feeling better by the time we landed. I got food during the layover and felt much better on my second flight. The flight was so empty (maybe 5 people on the entire flight) so I had the row to myself and laid down majority of the flight and slept.

Being home has been great. I struggled to find someone for post op massages here and I haven’t yet had one. My first is tomorrow, and the next the day after. I am getting hard stiff areas on my sides and a bit on my stomach and I’m really excited to finally have a massage knowing I’ll feel a lot better after. Massages are definitely really important. I’ve been self massaging as much as possible and got a handheld massager off of amazon that I use when I get out of the shower.

As for my results my main issue (my severe severe hip dips) has been fixed. I know if I want a super “snatched” look it’ll require a second round because of how bad my foundation was. Seeing my before photos on the wall in the operating room before surgery was so hard to see lol. It’s definitely a huge improvement from where I was, but I won’t fully judge my results until I’m more like 3-6 months post op because I’m still healing and I’ve seen how much people’s results change from the first month to months down the line.

Because I had a lot of fat in my stomach and back I wasn’t able to do the arm lipo but he did add my chin, and he offered to do another round in 3 months if I choose to, because with the 4 liter lipo limit it definitely wasn’t enough to suck out everything. I’ll see how my results pan out in the upcoming months before I decide to do another round or not, because I can lose weight with diet and exercise. My hip dips couldn’t have been fixed without surgery!

Surgery time!!

Preop

Preop went great. Dr B is hilarious, brutally honest and brutally realistic. I wasn’t able to add my arms because of the 4L limit he thinks he’ll need that for my stomach and back. ALLL my weight goes to my stomach. I’m 165 but it’s all tummy!!! My legs are small. I told him I want to look proportionate and he said not to worry about that he won’t make me look crazy lol. I’m hoping my arms won’t make me look like a linebacker. He is adding my chin though which is everything to me!!! This double chin has to GO and I mean GO lol. It’s 12:30 am and I fell asleep at about 9pm and now I’m wide awake which is annoying because surgery is at 7:30 am and I just wanna sleep wake up and go !!!! It’s been almost 4 years leading up to tomorrow. My recovery house Queen of diamonds is also great. Keya the owner is absolutely amazing. The staff is great. Would definitely return here. See y’all on the flat side
