4 Week Post Op Update with Pics

Hi everyone!! Sorry it's been a while since I've last updated since I've been a little busy with my personal life. I am feeling so much better these days :) Pain is minimal -- waist only hurts when I get up from laying down on my stomach some times. My butt is pretty much soft now!! One thing I did notice was that I now have cellulite on my butt cheek when I position myself a certain way, but I heard this can be improved with working out. I'm not complaining though! It definitely doesn't bother me too much. I've gotten really used to standing and sleeping on my stomach now as well. The faja isn't as tight anymore since my body is de-swelling so that's been great, but I honestly can't wait until I don't have to wear it anymore! I've been using a BBL pillow when I go run errands while on the passenger seat, but still have not driven yet.
I still have bruising around the waist as of now, but it's not too noticeable and I've been applying the scar cream Dr. Dass gave me every single day. Overall, I'm so excited to see my new body when the swelling is completely gone and can work out again!! :) Only 2 more weeks left!

Pictures!!!

Here are some pics of my before and after!! I included some before and afters :) Before, I had a bigger/asymmetric waist due to my scoliosis and didn’t have hips. I am loving my new shape now and I’m so excited to see how my final results will turn out. I am having fun trying on my old clothes and seeing how they fit differently now :)

1 week Post-op!

Hi everyone! Sorry my update has been a little late. I've had a pretty rough recovery sadly, but I'm doing better each day. :) First off, I want to say that I definitely underestimated the recovery process since I have a pretty high pain tolerance and this wasn't my first cosmetic surgery experience. Thank you all for checking in on me!!!
Day of surgery:
I arrived at the office by 6am (scheduled time) and I was immediately taken to the back room by a male nurse (so nice!). I was told to put on my compression socks which they provide for you, as well as my gown. Then Dr. Dass came in to mark me and I met with the anesthesiologist shortly after. He was also very nice and explained the anesthesia process for me to make me feel safe. I then headed back to a different room where I laid on the operating table and then everything went black after that. I woke up about 3 hours after the surgery and my sister picked me up shortly after. I remember feeling EXTREMELY nauseous and loopy--probably due to the anesthesia. When I arrived home, it was very very difficult for me to get out of the car because I was naseous and in pain, but I was able to get into bed with the assistance of my sisters. I remember falling asleep right away for a few hours. It definitely helped having my bed set up with puppy pads and comfortable blankets to sleep on my stomach right after surgery. I drained a lot and the smell of the blood definitely didn't help with the nausea. I woke up a few hours later and didn't even want to eat anything because I had no appetite, but I forced myself to eat some saltine crackers and gatorade so that I had something in my stomach for my meds. However, that wasn't enough because when I took all of my meds (percocet, laxative, anti-nausea, arnica pellets, antibiotic) all at once, I felt like I wanted to die :( My body absorbs things really quickly and I'm more sensitive to heavy meds so the meds were what made me really nauseous. I fell asleep quickly after and just slept a lot throughout the night because I felt too dizzy to stay awake.
Days 2-3
I would say that the first 3 days were the hardest for me. They weren't too different than the first day, but I was able to slowly get my appetite back. I still drained a lot and tried to walk around the house since you're supposed to walk for like 5-10 min every 2 hours. Still taking percocets for the pain, but also adding in tylenol when the pain was tolerable. I experienced the most pain when trying to get up after sleeping or resting on my stomach. It feels like your stomach is ripping, but it does get better each day!! On day 2, I was so happy that I was able to take my first shower. Definitely have someone assist you with that because you may still be light headed and getting out/into your garment can be difficult. I was also able to pass my first stool on day 2 or 3 so I stopped taking the laxatives.
Days 4-7:
By day 4, I stopped taking the percocets and only took tylenol when I felt pain. However, I believe day 4 was the last day I took any pain meds at all! Definitely less nauseous since I stopped taking the percocets, but would still get slightly light headed/dizzy after taking antibiotics. I noticed that during my first week, I was really short of breath which I think is common so make sure to take deep breaths! Sleeping on my stomach has been one of the most difficult things for me since I'm usually a side/back sleeper so it took a while to get adjusted to it. I experienced a lot of neck pain the first few days, but that's been getting better. I've also been applying arnicacare cream after my daily shower and it's been aiding the healing process immensely.
Day 5 (Post-op appointment)
I went to my post-op appointment which only took about 15 minutes or so. The nurse gave me the stage 2 faja which you're supposed to wear after your 2 week mark and a scar cream. I also met with Dr. Dass and he told me that I'm healing nicely! I forgot to ask him how many CCs he was able to put in each cheek so I'm thinking of emailing the office soon.
Days 6-7
Definitely feeling better each day for sure. I'm feeling less swollen all around and my butt/hips have been going down slowly. The top of my butt is feeling soft now, but the rest of it is super hard still. My abdomen and sides are still very swollen, but getting better throughout time. My inner thighs have the most bruising surprisingly. I tried on a few clothes and am already loving my new figure :) It really motivates me to get through this recovery so that I can go shopping and buy cute new clothes for my new body. Will post pics!!
