I’m in love with my new hourglass figure. My abdomen and back are still swollen, so I’m still compressing. I’ve gained weight after the surgery. I believe my results will be more vavavoom if I lose 10-15 lbs. This is going to be my new year resolution.

Switching Doctors

I spoke with my coordinator today- It took me 3 days to get in touch with her, but I was finally able to speak with her. I’ve decided to switch doctors and I’m now going with Dr. Mehio. I tried to switch to him a couple of days after I put down my deposit with Alvarez, but was told I had to pay $1000 penalty. After what happened at MIA last week, they allowed me to switch. Yoohoo! Dr. Mehio does not have any availability on July 10, but luckily for me he has one on the 12th, so I booked that day. I really like his after pictures on IG and he has great reviews here, so I’m happy that I was able to switch to him. I will continue to pray that everything goes well with my surgery.

A young lady died in May at MIA. Alvarez was her surgeon. Good luck on your surgery.

My surgery went well. Dr. Mehio did his thing. I love my new booty. My abdomen is still swollen, so I’m still compressing. I didn’t stay in a recovery house. I stayed in a hotel and had a lymphatic massage therapist @coraito come to my hotel.

How much was your bbl Nd did massage ppl come everyday tht yu were in hotel until yu left?

My surgery was $4150. Yes, the massage therapist came everyday. My first massage was a day after my surgery. I had a total of 6 massages.

My surgery is in 2 months. I’ve decided to book a hotel instead of air bnb. My hotel is less than 4 miles from MIA aesthetic, and I paid $450 for 7 nights. It doesn’t have good reviews, but I don’t mind that at all; all I need is a roof and a bed. I purchased some supplies from Amazon. I will be ordering more supplies in a couple of weeks. My dilemma now is which stage 1 fans to buy. I don’t want to spend a lot of money on my stage 1 faja since I will be wearing it for only 3 weeks. What do you suggest?

My surgery is 3 weeks away I bought my stage 1 faja from MIA I got the bbl package that brought it with the boards and foam bbl pillow good price on amazon I bought the backboard still need to get the compression socks anyone recommends any ?

There was a death at MIA a couple of days ago. Dr Alvarez was the surgeon. I’m reconsidering this whole thing. I will probably go with a different surgeon or cancel the surgery altogether. This is sad. The young lady was only 28. May she RIP.

Have you spoken with them to ask about changing surgeons? Because when I first booked I tried changing from Alvarez to another surgeon and the contract says and they told me it’s like a little over 1k to change surgeons after you book. Please let me know when you speak to them and what they say.

I emailed my concierge today to switch to Mehio. I also left her a voicemail but she has yet to respond to my email or call me back. I also messaged MIA on IG and was told my concierge will contact me. I read here that dolls were able to get their refund or switch surgeons. I’m guessing they are waving the $1000 fee. I will try again tomorrow and will definitely keep you posted.
Mehio is $1500 cheaper than Alvarez and his results are pretty good too. Hopefully he can perform my surgery on July 10th as I’ve already booked my hotel, flights, and massages. Palladino is my second option if Mehio is fully booked

I emailed and all the surgeons including Palladino are fully booked for June. That’s what they said but I don’t trust them so I emailed Palladino to double check. I’m stuck with Alvarez and I’m not scared because he has a death I mean this surgery is risky i know that and doctors aren’t gods. I’m just worried cuz this is so fresh and he may not be mentally prepared to get back to doing surgery and might botch me or do a shitty job cuz he had his first death. They get PTSD from it.

They all are probably fully booked for July as well. Smh. If none of them is available the 2nd week of July, I will keep Alvarez and pray that everything goes out well. He should give out discount after what happened.

I had the Molina’s band 12 years ago. A girl from my home town died the week before I had my surgery. The death wasn’t fault of the surgeon. She had a blood clot. Any time you have a surgery it is dangerous. I just recently had the band reversed and they sleeve done. Just understand anytime you have surgery it is dangerous.

Mehio is awesome. Mia is trash. I’m not even sure if they have an office manager. Their customer service is below average. When I went there for my last post op appointment, the waiting area was packed with ladies who were there for their massage. Some have been waiting for more than 2 hours. I was so glad I didn’t get my massage there. I believe the guy who does the massage at Mia doesn’t even speak English.
