I was awake, the area was just numbed.
Hi i like how your scars healed. I had brachioplasty a month ago and my scar is ugly (pleated like empanada) what did you use for your scar? Yours is hardly noticeable
Mederma was all I used. Time fades them eventually.

Your revision looks good! Hope you're doing well! Had my extended brachio 2 weeks ago and am doing ok. Am happy with the results so far! Have some swelling in my left arm and wrist that I didn't have until a few days ago; luckily I have a follow-up appointment today with my PS. Can't wait til I can sleep comfortably!! I'm still fairly sore.
I was sore for months with the full brachio, it was worth it though.
I knew it wouldn't be easy. (I had back surgery June of '16 and that was really tough!!) This is something I've wanted to do for a long time. I'm glad I did it; I can already see a big difference! Dr was pleased today and said I didn't have to wear the ace wraps anymore. If I want and when the incision isn't so sensitive I can wear an athletic compression shirt. Don't know when I'll be able to wear a bra again since part of the incision is right along the bra line but I'm kind of enjoying not wearing one!! I don't have big boobs anyway. :)
The revised area will catch up with the rest soon. Use a scar cream or silicone tape to speed things up.
I am using the scar cream, I know it takes time. Thanks.

Day One

This is 24 hours later. I took some advil when I got home and my arms were still numb. I did wake up in the middle of the night in pain and removed the bandages and replaced them with very large band aids. That did help, I think the bandages were too much. I felt pain for about half of the next day and then suddenly realized I'd forgotten about it and it didn't hurt at all. Currently only hurts if those areas touch something. Pretty pleased about that, I've been through quite a few surgeries (non-cosmetic) and I really believe the pain level afterward has a lot to do with how well the surgeon works.

Hard to tell what the result is until it has time to heal. I probably won't post any more pics until the steri-strips are off, I don't think things will change much until then. I do still see a fold in the right arm but I'm hoping it's due to swelling, and if not, it is better than it was.

I looked at what was taken off after the procedure and it really wasn't much, but I do see a difference from it.
