Not satisfied

Although my teeth isn’t protruding anymore, it’s weirdly dented inwards. I’ve been wearing my retainers for about a year now, and feel the need to wear it all everyday. If I go a day without wearing my retainer, my teeth becomes sore (feels like it’s shifting).

Braces for my protruding mouth

Let me start with a back story:
So I've been considering braces for a really long time now, since high school. I'm now 25, and now that I'm married with kids, I decided to go for it with my husband's support.
I felt a little hesitant when my orthodontist recommended extractions to achieve my desire look. As he mentioned, because my teeth, mouth isn't aligned with my chin, it causes me to have chin dimples when relaxed. I've always hated my mounted looking mouth, and how it opens when relaxed. I hope I'm making a good decision and not regret it when my braces journey is done.
He recommended 4 teeth extractions to achieve my desire look. I just hope all goes well.
