6 Month Smiles Journey

Braces came off on Tuesday, July 2nd. Took a few hours to get everything off, not painful at all. I have a bonded retainer on the top and bottom and I have temporary retainers. I will get my invisalign retainers in about 3 weeks. I love my teeth and my smile. I am pleased with the final results!!

I haven't been posting my updates as often as I used to because I'm not completely happy with my smile. After all these months I hoped and anticipated that my teeth would look how I expected them to look, but it's still a work in progress. I have my next appointment on the 29th of May. It's been almost a year since I got my braces and this was supposed to be just a 6-month treatment. My teeth are still uneven there is a lot of spacing and my front teeth are not aligned properly. When I went in for my adjustment a few weeks ago my bottom wires were changed, but I kept the same ones on my top which felt weird because I had been getting my wires changed every 2 weeks for the past 3-4 months and that was is even more discouraging. I have a space forming between my 2 front teeth. I have attached a few pictures from over the past month.

My last visit was on the 15th of this month. I will be going in for my 2-week adjustment within the next few hours. I've been wearing elastics and a spring on my front teeth to try to get everything aligned. I will have a more extensive update from what happens later today.
