6 week update... I know I'm a procrastinator lol!

Yes, I know I'm at like 10 weeks now haha but I'm a slacker and don't get my updates posted when I should!  I've been jotting down notes in my phone so that I can finish them off and post updates when I get a chance.
So here are some pics from 6 weeks PO, and my short little 6 week update, from my 6 week notes:
Still hurts to cough, sneeze, or gag.
Still using all my pillows in bed, including the ones under my knees.
Still sleeping on my back. Can do short amounts of time on my side.
Still uncomfortable to lay flat.
Still uncomfortable to lay on my stomach.
Standing straight in the morning but usually 'wilt' to a hunched over position by the end of the day.
Not experiencing very much swelling.
Still taking it fairly easy: no heavy lifting, not working out yet (Dr S said I'm fine to return to normal activities, but I'm a big baby and will spend these couple months after surgery getting myself fully healed so that it's as easy on me as possible).  I do take short easy walks.
I make sure to go lay down for a bit or sit for a bit when my stomach/ back start feeling achy.
I started Embrace Scar Therapy at 6 and a half weeks and have a ton of stuff to post about that, but not sure if I have time today.  The short version is, I like it a lot so far (ESPECIALLY for my back!), but there are a few issues with it/ tips that I want to share.
I'm also including a couple pics of my back at 6 weeks (from my bra line back lift that was done at the same time). I've got a separate review for that procedure that has more pics and info, but want to share the occasional picture on here too.
The little spot on my TT incision line went away after a day or two, and that extra unanticipated pain that I had at week 5 got better after a few days of lots of rest. I'm still super happy with all my results!

INFO ON GARMENTS

Just some info about garments:

I've had multiple plastic surgery procedures by multiple different surgeons in different states (I believe in choosing a surgeon who absolutely specializes in the procedure I'm having done, and has tons of experience in that particular procedure).  For my TT, lipo, and butt implant procedures, my surgeons all provided me with a Design Veronique garment. Lipo and TT ones were style #853-H (the H just means it has a high back instead of a normal back)

At about 5 and a half weeks after my TT, I switched to a stage 2 garment, Marena style #SFBHA2.  My Doctor started me out in Design Veronique style #853-H, XXXL (ugh. And I used to be a size 0 lol. I was shocked when I saw the 3X tag!). I transitioned to a size large (same brand and style) at around 3 weeks. I really like the Design Veronique ones, they're very supportive, have good compression, and are comfortable (for a garment).  I don't like that the legs of the DV are so long (almost to my knees) and so I can't wear shorts or shorter skirts without looking ridiculous.  After wearing the Marena for a few days, I switched back to the Design Veronique.  The Marena has less support in my torso area, which made me feel fatigued/ achy in my stomach and back after a bit.  The Marena also doesn't allow me to adjust the placement of the arm straps.  They're attached at the sides, and they dig into/ rub against the sensitive skin in front of my underarms. This was highly uncomfortable for me.  Design Veronique has straps that I can attach at the sides (in front of my underarms) if I want to, but they can also be attached in front (see pics) between my boobs, which saves my poor skin by my arms.  I always wear a tank top under my garment, it's waaaaaay more comfortable (I use Neleus Women's 3 pack Compression Athletic Long Tank Top, around $20 on Amazon for the 3-pack).  For comfort, I also really prefer the open-crotch style to the hook-and-eye crotch closure on the garments.

The top 3 post-surgical garments seem to be Design Veronique, Marena, and Bonita.  I've never tried Bonita, so I can't offer any opinions on them.  I much prefer DV over Marena.  Even though Design Veronique is more expensive, I find them absolutely worth it.  If I have to live in my garment(s) for months after my surgeries, I want to be as comfortable as possible!  For the record, Dr S did tell me I could switch to Spanx fairly quickly, but I want the support and compression that my real garment provides while I'm healing.  I hurt more and feel more tired/ achy in my torso area when I wear no garment or a different one or something like Spanx.

Over the years, I've also tried a ton of different "off-brand" garments.  I've found that they don't provide the same kind of support and evenly-applied compression that the true post-surgical garments do.  Design Veronique and Marena can both be ordered directly from their (respective) manufacturer's web site. DV also carries a line of garments for women who are significantly larger in the hip/ butt area, but smaller in the waist. I've never tried them though, the standard line fits me just fine. DV will also custom-make your garment based on your exact measurements or something. I've never tried that option either. You can also sometimes find used garments on eBay for about half the price of the new ones. For something you're only going to be wearing for a couple of months, I find this a good option for a secondary/ back-up garment. It's super helpful to have a second garment so that you don't have to wait for your only garmet to finish in the washer and dryer before you can out it back on. I usually wash my garments in Dreft (baby soap).

What is this?!?! Scar update

As you know I've been ridiculously impatient about my TT incision/ scar. I KNOW I'm not going to see change week-to-week, but I still compare pics obsessively lol. Which means that I take pictures of my TT scar every few days, even though it always looks mostly the same. Since the Scar Away strips and Biocorneum seemed to stall my incision/ scar healing progress (and because I had that one little spot that was being stubborn about healing), I switched back to the Micropore tape for almost a week (around the beginning of week 4). This led me to the realization that the Scar Away strips are MUCH more comfortable than the brown (Micropore) tape, they flex with my movements and are far softer feeling against my skin (also less of a pain in the neck to put on lol). So I switched back to the Scar Away strips 4/29, which was at the end of week 4/ almost to week 5 (but am holding off on using the Biocorneum again).
Which brings me to the pics I'm including with this update... Last night (5/1) I took my strips off and took a shower. I always wash my incisions/ scars with Hibaclense in the shower and massage them. When I went to take pics and put my Scar Away strips on after my shower, I noticed a little blood blister looking thing at that same spot that's been taking longer to heal!! What is this?!?! I didn't look at my TT scar before I got in the shower, so I'm not sure if the little blood blister spot was there before, or it I caused it with the massage in the shower (?) Did I massage too hard? Is that a thing? I'm not freaked out enough (yet haha) to call Dr. S, I figured I'd give it a day or 2 and see what it does.
