I had pain in my mouth related to a crown being out in. What i didn't know it was just my TMJ acting up. I was sent to a surgeon who poromised me the moon, I went for it until I saw the consent form. I did not want to sign. He said take it home and think about it. The next day was the surgery. I STILL did not want it. He said this is something we just got to do. The risks are only 1%. I finally said O.K. What A Mess! I am in excruciating pain every day. My bite is a mess. Now I need Braces. lost hearing in my one ear. Swelling large in my left cheek. My marriage has suffered. I need to sleep upright in a chair. I'd do anything to relive that day and not do this surgery.

I am sorry you have gone through all this. Are there any options for another surgery that could fix things (with a different doctor?)
