Nervous....9 Day Post Op

$7,550
Tomorrow I get my drainage tube taken out. I'm am nervous!! I seen my gf when she had hers removed and her reaction had me like OMG when the Doctor took it out. I shouldn't have seen that. Now I can't sleep because I'm trying to prepare for this feeling tomorrow. How did you feel if you've had one removed?

Good luck!
I did not feel a thing. I was like. Seriously? It's out? Took one second and zero discomfort or pain.
It was a quick experience, but not at all pleasant. Just take a deep breath, close your eyes, and have someone's hand to hold.
I just had my drain tube removed yesterday and I did not feel a thing. I was extremely nervous but he pulled it so quick, I didn't have time to react. When all said and done I walked out smiling but only until back pains kick in from the walk back to parking garage...lot. U will be fine honey. Good luck!!
My procedure is next Thursday with Dr. Burton. I am nervous.

The itch!! 7 day post op

I was doing just fine till I broke out in this awful rash. I seen my doctor today and he thought it was the compression garment. So he changed my bandages and put my other garment on. I've been taking benadryl to help with the itch. Its helping a little but this itching is worse than the pain. Hopefully this will go away so I can get on with my regular recovery and healing. I'm have never been allergic to anything in my 38 years. I wonder why now. If anyone else has experienced this, how long did it last? Still in high spirits.

You should try rubbing Caladryl on the rash. Do you think you may be allergic to any of the medicines the doctor has you taking?

Hope the rash goes away soon.
Its getting better. I've been taking Benadryl by mouth. That seems to help a bit. My doctor said it may have been the oxy or my garment. So he took me off the meds and put a new garment on me. It got worse... I'm seeing a dermatologist tomorrow. Thank you
It maybe the oil. Are you using the bio oil? Or any other new creams?
I haven't used anything at all when it first appeared. It just came from nowhere.
Hmmm? You may need oral steroid ( ex. oral pred) to stop the allergic reaction. Talk to your ps or better yet pcp. Feel better soon!
Oh my heavens to betsy. You poor thing. Hope you get relief soon.

Day 4 Post Op

It really does get better everyday. Im still walking bent over and my muscles feel like they get tighter and tighter everyday. I can't wait till I can stand up straight again. I'm still taking my pain meds. At first I thought it wasn't doing anything for me until one night I was trying to sleep and it hit me! The drain pump keeps getting clogged but other than that I feel I'm doing better everyday. I can't wait to actually see my results.
